At his question, her hand lowered slowly and she studied him for a long moment. She had a sudden, irrational thought that this was the reason he'd agreed to see her, because he wanted to use her and her ability and felt a flash of resentment. But the next words he uttered stopped her before could react in a physical sense. After a moment, she gave Angel a small smile.
"I will, but they won't. I know how to keep them all in hand," she stated. "And the stars..." Drusilla raised her gaze to look up at the distant lights in question. "They always speak to me. Even when others don't," she admonished him. "They say that bad things are happening soon." Running her hands up and down her arms, almost as though she were cold, Drusilla abruptly dropped her gaze, a frown replacing the smile on her dark red lips.
"She's being fooled. The dark one thinks she can save them all, or half of them, but she can't. They're twisting their words and her mind and she believes them," she said softly, a hand lifting to her temple as she closed her eyes after a moment. Turning away, she shook her head.
"Trying to hear them hurts," she whispered. "They don't like eavesdroppers. It isn't nice to listen."
