She glanced over at him. "I just do," she said but it half hearted. Not a very good lie which was strange as Isabel could be a very good liar when she wanted to be. She had no idea if her blood would repel vampires or not. She had never been bitten and had no plans to change that especially now that Toby had told her what he had told her. Pain she had expected but pleasure? That just turned her whole view on vampires upside down.
"I'm sorry about your family." She said it but she knew that if they all said sorry for all the family everyone had ever lost they would never stop apologizing. Everyone had family that was missing or dead. Isabel had no idea what happened to her human adoptive parents and she and her mother had once been so close. She just didn't think the humans had what they needed to survive the plague. Event though some of them clearly had at the prison. Isabel guessed most of them were supernaturals.
"I'm not always okay with him getting the final say. We argue. But at the end of the day we need each other and we have to work together. Somebody had to be in charge and it's always been Max."
Isabel had never even wanted the job. Michael had tried for it and had gotten drunk on the power of leading them after Max had died. It didn't stick but it did drive Michael crazy on power when the alpha male alien signal traveled down the line to him. Isabel thought it was stupid.
"You're not going to starve are you?" She supposed she wouldn't have let Ezra starve. Although she wasn't excited about the idea of anyone biting her.
