Isabel was over it. She was over eating crappy food in the cafeteria. She was over standing around bored all day in a tower getting ready to use telekinesis if a zombie got too close. She was over her creepy blue staring roommate. Isabel was over being forced to take gun training even though she had telekinesis. Telekinesis. That was more badass than shooting. And she was definitely over the fucking buddy system.
Mostly she was consumed with worry. It was good that she had Liz and Max. She wasn't Isabel without Max at her side. He was her brother and they had always been so close. But Max had a tendency to boss and Isabel had spent some time away from her brother. She had spent months out there, alone and afraid but no matter how scared she got she always took care of herself. Isabel wasn't used to being bossed around anymore and it was starting to become a problem.
Max wasn't her only brother. Their alien counterparts may have been lovers but as humans, Isabel loved Michael like a second brother. She was just as close with him for her entire life as she had been with Max. She worried about him, she couldn't stand the thought that he was out there somewhere. Maybe he was afraid and alone. Michael was impulsive and sometimes that lead to his downfall. Unlike Isabel, Michael really needed Max's stabilizing force in his life. Otherwise he would run wild. She could only hope that Maria and Kyle were with him and somehow keeping him in check.
And that was the big problem. They should be out there! They should be out in the world looking for their friends, for their family. They had people out there, their own people that needed to be found. Because they were out there somewhere. They had to be. The alternative was far too terrible to even consider. Isabel refused to.
She'd finally had it and went to go see Max about it. "Hey." She smiled at him as she dropped down across from at one of the tables in the prison cafeteria. Max was pouring tobasco sauce onto his cornflakes. "Hey!" Isabel yelled and snatched the bottle out of his hands. "Where'd you get this?" She had been looking for some.
