Isabel rolled her eyes. She couldn't help it. They weren't nesting. Oh, baloney. They so were! And Isabel didn't blame them one bit. If she had the kind of love that Liz and Max shared she would want to nest too. Hell, she hadn't had that kind of love with Jesse and she had still nested.
And it bothered her that she wasn't worried about her husband. Michael, yes. Kyle, yes. Even Maria, yes. She was worried about all of them. But they had a chance. Kyle was going to develop his alien powers at any time and Maria would be protected by Michael. Jesse didn't have a prayer. He was zombie food and somewhere on the road Isabel had already accepted that. She'd ditched her husband to protect him but had ultimately left him to die. That was something she had to live with.
Which was exactly why she was NOT going to let that happen to Michael. "Max," she said quietly, careful to keep her tone low in case any of these idiots were eavesdropping on her. "How long do we stay here and play house? We can't just leave him out there!" Her voice was getting progressively louder. "Damn it, Max. He needs us!"
