"Great!" Serena chirped. Every bit the bright sunshiney personality that she could be. She handed Jenny a glass and poured her some of the wine from the bottle. Serena preferred red since putting the white in the kitchen refrigerator didn't guarantee the bottle would still be there when you went back for it.
Serena had no idea who Jenny's roommate was but she was glad that she had cleared out for the moment. Serena's own roommate was always working sentry at night so it was like having a single and Nate had a single ever since Captain Harkness cleared out so it wasn't so bad. But roommates could be a pain if you wanted to catch up with an old friend.
"So how are you?" Serena asked, getting comfortable on Jenny's roommates bunk as she took a sip of the glass of wine. It wasn't the kind of stuff she was used to from back home but it was alcohol and that counted for something in an apocalypse. Serena's standards of everything had been forced to lower ever since the first zombie tapped her on the shoulder on that train in New York.
"I mean you got all the way from New York to here. The things you must have seen." Serena shuddered. Her own journey had been harrowing but Jenny was different than Serena. She had always been more like Blair.
