Angel himself was just out and walking around in the city. Him and the rest of his friends had moved to New York because of some new Hellmouth that was supposed to be opening in the area. Of course, they had a Wolfram & Hart branch there, but he had been very interested when he found out that Lilah Morgan and Lindsey McDonald were working for it. He had thought that Lindsey had quit that place for good, but, one again, it just shows how little a person can really change sometimes.
He was actually out doing a patrol at the moment, but his walk ended up leading him to the Wolfram & Hart building. Might as well get a good look around it and see where the entrances and exits were. Plus, you know, see if it had sewer access.
There was a sewer access to this branch just like in LA. I was just finishing up for the night and about to head home. I was walking in the parking garage to my car. I had called Lindsey and told him that I'd be home shortly, some times it sucks being the CEO.
Angel did notice the sewer access, but then noticed someone else coming out into the parking lot that sparked his attention quickly. "Lilah," he said, coming up behind her. "How...interesting it is to see you again."
I nearly jumped and dropped my keys when Angel appeared. "Angel..what are you doing in New York?" I asked once I took a second to pull myself together.
Angel couldn't help but grin when he saw Lilah jump. "Actually, there's word of a Hellmouth arising here. Figured that's what you were doing here as well when I heard you were around."
"Actually no, I live here have for a while now..." I told him. "How did you even know I was here?" i asked him after a second.
Angel rolled his eyes. "Wow, so I just happened to stumble across the two of you? Talk about luck." Except completely not at all.
"Yeah looks like." I said with a small shrug. "What do you want?" I asked him as I unlocked my car door, but didn't get in the car yet.
"Well, I didn't want anything in particular at first, but then I heard that you were here in New York and got all curious," Angel said with a slight grin. "And with Lindsey McDonald, too. I thought that he gave this stuff up?"
"He did and then he found out about Ava.." I said with a sigh. I don't really want to get into it, no what I want is to go home.
Angel arched an eyebrow. "Ava? Now who is that?" Angel was actually blocking her car right now, so she wasn't getting out of here without at least answering whatever it was that he was wanting to know.
I sighed in frustration when he block my car, and asked me who Ava was. " Who Ava is is none of your business, so move." I told him, wanting very much to just go home.
Angel smirked. "Looks like I struck a nerve." He finally moved away from her car. He had other things to do tonight, anyway. "Be seeing you around, Lilah," he said to her.
When he finally moved out of the way, I got in my car and drove home. After putting the car in the garage; I walked into the house and blew past Lindsey, and headed for the stairs. I needed a nice hot relaxing stress reliving bath right now.
I watched as Lilah blew past me. Something was obviously up, since she didn't even give me a slight acknowledgment. I headed up after her.
I was just getting undressed and stepping into the tub full of bubbles, when Lindsey walked into the bathroom. I ignored him for the moment and slid into the tub.
"So, what happened that pissed you off so bad?" I asked her.
"Angel's what happened." I said as I sank deeper into the bubbles. I considered just going completely under water for about five minutes to just block everything out.
I made a face. "Angel? What the fuck did he want?" I'll never like Angel. It's really that simple.
"To know why we were here in New York and he wanted to know who Ava is,but I didn't tell him." I said with a sigh as I sank further into the bubble bath.
"Probably a good idea not to tell him that," I admitted. I sat down on the toilet so that I could continue to talk to her. "And it's none of his damn business as to why we're here. What's he doing here?"
"I don't know he said that he was here because of a hellmouth or something." I shrugged and sank deeper into the water.
I sighed. I really wish that the asshole could have stayed in LA and made our lives a little less complicated. "Sounds about right..." I said after a few moments.
"So how was your day?" I asked him. I didn't want to talk about Angel anymore so I figured a change in topic would be good.
"It was fine," I told her, glad to be changing the subject as well. "Nothing really all that exciting." Unlike her day, apparently.
"Sounds nice.." I said. "Hand me a towel?" I was starting to prune which meant it's time to get out.
"Sure," I said, grabbing a towel from the towel rack and handing it to her. "Sometimes unexicting days really are nice."
"Yeah.." I said as I took the towel from him and dried off. "So how's our darling daughter?"
"Up in her room, I believe," I said to her. "I'm sure she's supposed to be doing some homework." Who knew what she was actually up to, though.
I nodded and finished drying off.
I continued to sit there with her. "So, know what you're going to do about Angel just yet?" I asked.
