WHO: Robert Lutece and Steve Rogers WHAT: Robert runs into Steve, asks for training WHEN: Wednesday morning WHERE: "Avengers' tower" WARNINGS: None STATUS: Closed/In-progress
Robert had made a habit out of visiting his sister at least twice a week - to bring her things, catch her up on work he had been doing, and just to make sure she was doing all right. Rosalind had all but moved out of her apartment considering how many personal items she had asked Robert to bring over, and he did without complaint. It was his duty as her brother, after all. It was odd to him how comfortable Clint was with the entire scenario. From what Robert knew of the archer he seemed to be the "loner" type, always keeping careful watch over the city from a perch on high. Robert knew that there was something going on between Clint and his sister, but it had never truly manifested itself until now.
He kept quiet about it all, tight lipped though his eyes told a different story. They had come from a time when it was inappropriate for a woman to be living with a man out of wedlock. While he had never imagined that either of them were the marrying type, he did think that if it ever came to that that they would follow proper protocol. But this was a different world from theirs, one with different rules. They had all adapted the best they could, a necessity that ensured their survival. Robert imagined that Rosalind's insistence to overlook common decency was merely a survival tactic.
He let out a sigh when he finally left the apartment, determined to find a way to overcome his distaste of the situation. Rosalind was a grown woman, after all, and she insisted that her living there was temporary. He wandered down the hall toward the elevators, plans for the rest of his day spinning around in his head. So lost in thought that he barely registered the person in front of him, or that he was close enough to run into them.
When he did finally, he muttered out a quick apology before looking up. "Oh, Captain Rogers," he said to the much taller, much more fit man. "Hello."
