Who: Hestia Jones & Charlie Weasley
What: Being soulmates Chatting, catching up
When: Friday afternoon
Where: Hogwarts
Rating/Warning: PGish, sure

It had been a long week. So long, in fact, that Hestia had almost refused to believe that it could have been a Friday. She wasn't sure the graces of Merlin would have allowed her such a nice thing. She had Fridays off. Since working at St. Mungo's, she'd put in a lot of hours. Nearly seven days a week, working until all hours of the day and night. She'd had to. New Healers were only going to learn if they were there and if they were going to be there, they might as well have conjured up a cot and slept in the changing room.

Somehow, Hestia couldn't be sure, she'd managed to secure Fridays as her one day where she didn't have the option of going into the hospital. And it was glorious. So glorious, in fact, that she had decided to surprise Charlie and steal him away for lunch. If she remembered correctly, he should have been done for the day as well.

And so there she was pushing open the already slight ajar door to his office.

"Come on," she said, leaning against the door jam. "Let's go. I'm taking you hostage."

The food at Hogwarts served its purpose, but it was never like the food Molly made. He had to admit, however, that anything was certainly better than having to cook it himself. Hestia cooking for him, however, meant that now he owed her a lunch. This lunch was a brilliant and wonderful surprise, and definitely something he appreciated.

"Hmmm," he nodded, taking a seat once more. He had meant Dimitri since he was around, Alexander was always off somewhere with his team it seemed. Charlie did not have much interaction with Hestia's family. "And what about Phoebe and Joshua? How are their kids?"

Charlie's family was all over the board with interests and professions. Hestia's family was similiar, albeit smaller—a healer, a Quidditch player, a hit-wizard, and a stay-at-home mom married to an auror. A person's job seemed to make a statement about their loyalties and where their heart was (at least to a certain extent). The Weasleys maintained a bit of mystery, and very much were encouraged to have their own identity and individuality.

"Sorry if I've been quiet. I suppose I cannot stop thinking about where we're going next. We should have another meeting soon, the Order, I mean. I hate playing a waiting game. If we could all be out hunting and tracking, this might be easier."

"Big. Growing. Loud."

Although Christopher was barely six years old and Graham nearly four, it seemed that every time Hestia stopped by for a visit, the boys had sprouted at least another foot. Well. They were tall. The whole of the Jones family was, though - shot up like sprouts before they knew what to do with themselves or the hem of their trousers. She expected nothing less from her nephews.

She laughed slightly before taking another heaping spoonful of the stew. It had been a while since she'd been able to properly cook a meal. She managed to make enough for when Dimitri returned later.

She leaned forward, her elbows resting on the table as she looked at Charlie. "I was wondering when we should meet next, myself. It's all frustrating - knowing that there are bloody animals out there taking advantage of everyone's fear."

"You're lucky to be an aunt. I've been wanting to be an uncle for Bill and Fleur for a while. It's easier that way," he said, finishing his second bowl of stew. Every bit had been fantastic. He likely could have gone for a third bowl, but he did not want to put Hestia out—assuming that stew was for more than just the two of them.

He knew his parents wanted to be grandparents, but Charlie was in no place to think about that—not with the war, not with what he needed to focus on, and they understood that. That pressure came around on him from quite a few angles and in way he would not have expected such as seeing couples everywhere or someone encouraging him to date. In his opinion, those who pushed did not know him well enough, that he was perfectly happy where he was in his life and the war should be everyone's focus.

Pushing his bowl aside, Charlie slouched in his seat, spreading out a bit to relax. "We all assume we're just waiting for something, and I agree with you regarding fear. If we wait until something happens, then it's too late. We need to be out there looking, playing detectives, and tracking this all down. Everyone should be reminded of what all of our tasks and objectives are. Maybe I'll bring in a dragon to protect and guard the castle," he said with a wink."
