WHO: Daphne Greengrass & Blaise Zabini
WHAT: Daphne offers Blaise a celebration for Slytherin's victory in Quidditch, and mending a straining friendship.
WHERE: The Quidditch Pitch.
WHEN: BACKDATED to the day after the Quidditch Match, 7PM.
RATING: PG-13? (who knows...)
Something tipped Daphne off about Blaise way before the quidditch match. She didn't know what it was, but all she knew was that he hadn't been the same with her since the spider attack. He stopped calling her the little pet names he had for her, and he seemed distant and distracted most of the time she tried to talk to him. While Daphne was usually a private, and anti-social sort of person, the idea of losing her closest, and oldest friend ever made her concerned. When it came to Blaise, well, Daphne was a completely different person. Around Blaise she could act a little more human than how she does around other people. Blaise manages to bring out the best in her. Around Blaise, Daphne could feel more emotions, she didn't have to bottle things up, and just give the world a cold shoulder. Which is exactly why she had to make sure Blaise was all right. She didn't know much about Quidditch, but she knew enough about Blaise to know when he was distracted, and bothered... and his performance on the pitch the other day was below his usual standards. Now all she needed to know was what exactly made him distracted and bothered.
Daphne made sure everything in the pitch was set up. She made sure that the pitch was empty, and that they would be left alone. Taking the steps up to the Slytherin stands, Daphne listened carefully to make sure that no one was up there all ready. The last thing she wanted was to be seen carrying a basket. Pausing at the opening, she listened for any noises before satisfied that no one was up there. Stepping out onto the stands, blue gaze darted around them before selecting a bench a few levels up. A sharp breeze tossed brown hair in her gaze, and made her wonder if meeting at the pitch was such a good idea. However, it was the only location she could think of where they wouldn't get interrupted.
Placing the basket down on the bench, she pulled her silver and green scarf tighter around her body. The weather was abnormally warm, but Daphne was cursed with poor circulation, usually leaving her body incredibly cold. A black sweater hugged her slender body, as a white collar peaked out from the sweater, which dipped dangerously low in the front. A green and silver stripped tie hung around her neck, as the uniform black pleated skirt rested on her hips. A pair of black knee highs showed off those sinfully long legs, as a pair of black heels completed her outfit.
All she could do now was wait. Taking a seat on the bench, beside the basket, blue gaze watched the empty quidditch pitch. As minutes passed she began to wonder if Blaise was going to ditch her. He wouldn't do that, would he? Well -- if he was mad at her, he would. Daphne couldn't think of WHY he would be mad at her.... unless he found out about --- no. That wasn't possible. Daphne was painstakingly careful about her ... her, whatever it was that she had with Dean Thomas. She was very careful about that. Blaise couldn't possibly know, especially since Daphne didn't even know what was going on between them. No, something else was bothering Blaise and Daphne planned on getting to the bottom of it tonight.
