Roger hadn't been expecting Angelina to so readily agree to a drinking session with him. He had been making a flippant comment, to keep things from getting serious and to pull her into another silly argument, but then she had gone and surprised him by inviting him over. And as Angelina's appeal was steadily climbing higher in his eyes over the last few months, he had agreed to it.

What wasn't there to like about Angelina? She was beautiful, athletic, and smart. The Gryffindor thing could be forgiven, of course, but he'd never say that to her face.

Roger wasn't an idiot, despite the roles he sometimes played.

Apparating outside of the property line, he checked to make sure there was no one else around before he started to whistle and make his way to the door. Once there, he knocked a few times and leaned against the frame, looking for all the world like he belonged there.

Angelina liked hanging out with Roger. If anything he always proved to be a massive distraction, which was what she was hoping for.

She was in a bad, stressed out mood though so they'd soon learn if Roger's distractive personality would get her out of it. She doubted he'd exasperate the issue though.

She ran a hand through her hair when she heard a knock on the door. She looked through the peephole before opening the door and ushering him in quickly. It really was the only thing that would show that Angelina Johnson might be a little freaked out. The anxiousness was gone the moment the door shut though, and she gave him a smile. "So, love. Welcome to Casa de Angelina. Not that you haven't been here before." Last time though there was considerably more people.

Just then Ned poked his head out of the study door where he usually spent his time to see what was going on. "Young ladies should not have men over, you know!"

"Ned, go to bed."

"I do not sleep." He said sounding offended but he made a harumph sort of noise before taking off.

"Goodnight Ned!" Roger called out to the retreating ghost, an amused grin on his face as he pulled his traveling robe off and hung it on the coat rack. He noticed that she seemed a little more harried than usual, but she quickly seemed to revert to her normal personality as they walked further into the place.

It was certainly much less empty then, but seeing as there wasn't a raging party going on, it was understandable. He liked it better then. Despite how he normally was, he preferred the quiet to a party. Maybe it was the Ravenclaw in him.

Sitting himself down on a couch, he grinned up at Angelina. "What's the plan for tonight, Johnson? Drinking games, insults to my looks, am I missing anything?"

"Wanker." Angelina muttered, shaking her head in the ghost's general direction. "He may decide he hasn't had his say and pop back up." She warned. Or you know, decide he needed to play chaperone.

"Oh come now, mate. I don't think I could take the sad eyes if I insulted your looks too much." She said grabbing two glasses and a bottle of firewhiskey from the counter before joining him on the couch. "We could make a drinking game out of purposefully trying to annoy Ned."

A ghostly chaperon. No thank you, Roger thought as he watched her join him with the firewhiskey. Who wanted a party pooping ghost around when he had a pretty young thing like Angelina around and a bottle of Ogden's? Not Roger.

"I'd only be sad because you'd be denying a beautiful, handsome truth," he corrected because hey, no one had to tell him he was a good looking bloke to know that he was handsome. Not that there was any shortage of women to tell him exactly that. "I don't think I want to invite Ned back for a drinking game," he said, draping his arms across the back of the couch.

Angelina handed him a filled glass and leaned back to relax (even if his arm was back there). Things were going crazy and drinking it away just for the night seemed like a good idea to her.

"Aw, there's an old adage that beauty's in the eye of the beholder." She pointed out, taking a long drink from her glass and clearing her throat a bit at the burn on the way down. So she'd noticed that Roger's was gorgeous, but that didn't mean he was getting his ego stroked from her.

Roger wasn't as smooth as he thought he was, but he more than made up for it by being utterly charming. "And in your eyes? What do you see?" He asked as he draped his arm around her shoulders and squeezed a little bit.

He liked Angelina. Despite all her attempts to kill his monstrous ego, he liked her for her honesty, her outgoing personality, and her legs. In all honesty, he could watch those legs all day long.

Oh, Angelina thought he was smooth. Well, at least smooth enough for normal circumstances. It was just that she'd have to admit that she knew all the moves. She played them herself a great deal of the time.

Tonight though, she felt a tad bit off and worried about everything so his arm falling across her shoulders was left without comment, and she did think for a moment before answering. "I see a moderately attractive bloke who has a high opinion of himself, but he makes up for it by being a rather brilliant distraction." And it was fairly obvious that she was lying about the moderately bit, because Roger was bloody fit. She knew it. He knew it. Everyone knew it.

"I could be more than a brilliant distraction, if you let me," he said, sounding too serious to his own ears. Coughing, he broke the moment by rakishly grinning and offering a slight shoulder shrug. "The birds say that I'm bloody fantastic shag."

Over-exaggerating a sigh, he added, "I suppose you wouldn't know that, seeing as you have something against having a good time with me." Which was also an over-exaggeration seeing as he and Angelina had a lot of fun together. It was just that their definition of fun was vastly different from other people's definitions. It involved quips, mild put downs, and tension. It was what Roger was comfortable with, when it came to Angelina.
