Julien hadn't been joking about the crowds at Hogsmeade... he didn't like them on his good days and they had been in short supply recently. He didn't have the money for anymore Daydream Charms and even if he had he preferred getting them by post rather than going out and buying them.

He'd been surprised that Alfie hadn't gone, though more surprised when he'd read that the Hufflepuff had spoken to his girlfriend. Julien had made it to their classroom in five minutes, unsure about what the news would be but sure, almost sure, that Alfie would be turning up to tell him the whole thing was off.

Alfie still felt bad about how things had gone with Audrey - she'd cried even before he'd told her anything. And on one hand he knew something was wrong with him, and that he needed to fix it, but on the other hand he thought about Julien, about kissing him and wanting to spend time with him. And he didn't want to fix those things at all.

He made it to the room a few minutes after Julien had. He didn't knock, this time, just came in and saw him already there.

"Hey," He said, and he couldn't keep himself from smiling a little.

Julien sighed; although the room was smaller he felt safer and was able to relax a little more, although at the same time he did wonder if Alfie was just closing the door to avoid a scene.

"I, yeah, I'm okay." he said, nodding, unable to look away from Alfie like after today he wouldn't be able to anymore. He was groggy and hungover from the sudden cessation of his use of Daydream Charms, but he was okay.

	"You just look a little...tired?" Alfie frowned a little, and he sort of wanted, again, to just go to him and kiss him and get past this awkward part - like last time - but instead he moved around the room and sat down on the sofa, instead. 	Julien did just that, sitting down beside Alfie but angled towards him a little, running his hand through his hair. "No, I'm okay, really." He gave Alfie a smile that only avoided looking fake because the sincerity was behind it. "So..." He really didn't know where he was going with that so he stopped there. 	"I guess," Alfie shrugged tightly, but he didn't like Julien wincing and frowning at him, looking away from him that way. He reached over, and touched the other boy's hair, then dropped his hand to his lap instead. "I think it's better to be honest about it, anyway. 	Julien shook his head, leant forward and put his head in his hands. "I don't know, I'm sorry... I don't know what I'm saying." He said, sounding tired and a little pissed off with himself. Alfie reached out to touch him when he bent forward that way, and his hand hovered just behind his back for a moment but then Julien was sitting back up, and he pulled his hand back instead.

"Us?" He said carefully, then he finally gave into the urge and reached up to push Julien's hair back from his face, grinning a little at how worried he looked, then frowning at second though and shrugging. "I don't know. I mean, I'm not going to pretend anymore, and date girls, or whatever. But I like you. And when I kiss you... I mean, god, Julien. But... I don't know that I'm ready for everyone to know, you know?"

Julien's eyes went a little softer at Alfie's gesture; he was never going to cut his hair while it gave Alfie an excuse to reach out like that and play with it.

He reached out though and took the hand that Alfie withdrew, holding it gently enough that if Alfie wanted to he could pull back. "I like you... and, if you're not ready..." he didn't have to think about it really, Alfie in front of him talking about kissing was enough. "We don't have to tell anyone. If you don't want to."

	He was holding his hand. Somehow, that struck Alfie as strange - a bloke was holding his hand - and then as completely normal, which solidified what he knew even more, really, than wanting to snog him or getting hard about him had. 	Alfie didn't know how to express what he really wanted. Whatever they were doing, it felt... fragile. Like if other people knew about it, it could break too easily Especially if everyone in the sodding school knew. He moved his fingers, entwined them with Julien's. "What do you want?" He wanted more of Alfie's fingers entwined with his, and more of Alfie brushing his hair back because those fingers made him feel at peace, and more of the kissing because he'd never been happier... 	It was sort of a non-answer, Alfie thought, but it was also sort of the answer he wanted, so he wasn't going to push very far. "Okay," He said after a minute, and then he squeezed Julien's fingers with his, and after another second he gave in and leaned in to him, a little haltingly awkward, but eventually catching his mouth. 	Julien smiled at the finger squeeze but then held his breath, held his breath, leant in and then, then they were kissing and Julien made a little noise of contentment, enjoying the kiss because it felt like he'd been waiting for it for so long. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Content wouldn't be the word to describe Alfie. The kiss, just like every one before it, went straight to his spine and, apparently, to some latent sense of power and courage that he didn't know he had, because he wanted to control it, and deepen it, and his hand was suddenly back on Julien's neck like it belonged there, holding him hard into it, as he mapped the other boy's mouth with his tongue.

	Alfie wrapped a hand around the back of Julien's neck and it made him feel taken and wanted and safe, for once, and he loved it and let Alfie take his tightly held control from him. He opened his mouth, obedient to Alfie's unspoken demand, and let the other boy's tongue in, making a soft sound as he kissed back. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Alfie heard someone groaning, and he realized it was him - groaning into Julien's mouth as the kiss deepened. By the time he pulled away, he was panting and flushed, and leaning in to kiss him again before he'd really had a chance to breathe. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Julien was likewise flushed in the face, catching his breath briefly and maybe about to say something until Alfie cut him off in another kiss and really, Julien didn't have anything left to say after that, the kiss making him feel dizzy and lightheaded with the lack of air. Alfie felt exactly the same as he had before - it was electric and exciting and dangerous and still wrong, somehow, but he also wanted it, and more than that now he had permission. Now he knew Julien wanted it too.

He groaned again, and turned toward Julien on the couch, breathless but still kissing him, and somehow the kiss was hungrier than he'd been aware a kiss could be.

	Julien was using the time to catch his own breath, not able to say a word but the look on his face saying much the same as he looked back at Alfie. He wanted more and his figners curled on Alfie's waist almost without his permission to do so. (Reply to this) (Parent)
