Who: Julien and Alfie
What: Before Work
When: This morning
Where: Their flat
Rating/Warning:TBA, slashy

Alfie woke up early - the cart had to be loaded and ready for the morning shoppers. But the snow was falling hard outside, and he knew he didn't have the best selection in the fruit and veg supply today, so it was harder for him to drag himself into the shower and then out into the cold. Instead, he watched Julien sleep, laying in the dark and staring down at where Jules' head was against his chest. He reached up, brushed Julien's hair back from his forehead.

Yes. Today was definitely a day to stay in bed. He could take a snow day once in winter, couldn't he?

Alfie frowned as Julien's expression shifted - he knew something had been on his boyfriend's mind, though he also didn't want to push. He knew that Jules would tell him, when he'd turned it over in his head enough first, and Alfie hoped it just had something to do with the cold or with work, because they could work through those.

Then again, Alfie wanted to believe they could work through anything. When he touched him, and Julien smiled and nosed in closer, it just proved that today was a day for staying in bed. Anything that made Julien smile, lately, was worth missing some profits for.

Julien shifted a little as he slept, but the small almost-waking he'd done made him more aware of where it was he was lying, although it was a slow process. He felt warmth first, a comforting rumble of body heat and pulse, felt the gentle way the chest that pillowed his head moved up and down, knew the fingers resting against him. Alfie.

He made a little purring noise and sleepily, sluggishly, pet at the boy under him until he realised that this shouldn't be happening... shouldn't Alfie be at work?

He started drowsily pushing himself up, body heavy with sleep, his muscles unhappy about this whole moving business.

"'fie, 's'wrong, 'kay?" he mumbled, trying to rub the sleep out of his eyes at the same time.
