Who: Ron Weasley & Amycus Carrow
What: Scene lottery! Running into familiar faces.
Where: Knockturn Alley
When: Thursday morning
Rating/Warnings: TBA/Violence, maybe?

Ron wasn't in quite as bad a mood as he normally was when he was required to get up before the sun. Today there were four days of vacation waiting for him when five o'clock rolled around - starting today he would finally, finally have more than a hurried, late-night take-away and crash with Hermione. He was questioning his decision to spend the time somewhere mostly known for hiking and other outdoor entertainment, because he wasn't sure he wanted to do anything but lounge around in the hotel room. But no one would make him go hiking. Probably.

In any case, it had to be better than sitting around the office and spending the weekend on the couch catching up on sleep. He wasn't sure what he was supposed to do, now, to make the day pass as quickly as he wanted it to do - but he'd started off by starting early. No sense lying around at home and waiting. He was eager to start, and start now.

He was never too hurried to pass up his usual dash through Diagon and its environs, however. He didn't put much stock in rituals, but he told himself that this wasn't that. It was calming, it was familiar. And part of it was energizing - making a pass through Knockturn felt good sometimes. There was a triumph there that it was easy to forget when he was pushing paper. The shadowy figure he was about to pass on the sidewalk was probably simply minding his own business, but Ron didn't make room for anyone on the street here anymore. If it didn't move aside, it was going to get shoved into.

Ron drew his wand. Just because he couldn't think of a name - although he was running through the list of known fugitives from the war and trying to match his features - he was growing increasingly certain that the reason he recognized this man was because he had served Voldemort.

He probably should have simply tried to trace him, to find a way to track him and leave him be. Facing down an unexpected adversary in an unfriendly alley wasn't the most reasonable thing in the world. But the thought of just letting the man walk off made him angry. "Demanding, yeah," he scoffed, his wand ready but still aimed more or less at the ground. "That's because it's my job to drag scumbags like you off to Azkaban where you belong. Most people appreciate it if we ask questions first." But even if Ron didn't know who he was, he knew what he was. And if he was wrong ... well. A false arrest did less harm in his mind than leaving someone like this on the street. "What's your name?"
