She had the best babysitter on the planet. Even though it was a Monday, she'd agreed to stay late so that Hannah could go out with Meg for her birthday. She had decided that she was having a pink day. The dress was flirty and fun.

She picked up the box that was wrapped up for her friend. She'd found a lovely top that she thought would flatter Meg and was a little showier then Quidditch wear.

Megan chuckled a little bit. "Well then, we'll stop by my flat on our way home and you can take her back a piece of the ice cream cake mum sent me today." she said grinning. Honestly, the thing was huge, and as much as she loved it, there was no way she could eat it all by herself. So why not share it? "Love, I'm sure he wouldn't know what to do with himself if he saw you in that." she reassured her friend.

"Thank you!" Megan replied as the smile on her face grew. It was so nice just to go out and relax for a little while. And actually having a reason to celebrate was all the better. Megan linked arms with Hannah and started to walk so they could get into the short line into the club. "Couldn't think of a better way to spend tonight. This is going to be so much fun!"

	She squeezed her friend's arm and moved with her into the line, "I told my sitter that I would be back no later then 10:30. She has things to do early tomorrow, so we'll have to make sure we keep an eye on the clock." she reminded her friend. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Megan put on a fake little pout as they walked into the club. She knew that Hannah wouldn't be able to stay out very late tonight, and she understood, and she was very much okay with it. Frankly, she was just happy that Hannah was able to come out at all and share tonight with her. "That's fine. I should probably be "responsible" tonight too," she said. "I have to be to work in the morning. Turns out Jamie got horribly sick over the weekend, and she was going to cover for me, but, who am I to tell someone who can't keep anything down to come into work just because I wanted to stay out for a few more hours." she spoke a little louder as the music of the building grew as they moved further into the club.

"Here!" Megan said as she found one of the few last remaining high tables. She hopped up onto on of the tall stools for the moment, determined to have at least one cocktail before going out on the dance floor.

She slipped up onto the other high stool with a smile. She waved down the waiter that was circling around the swirl of people. "Well then, I guess being the responsible adults kind of sucks." she chuckled, "But we can be reasonable with our fun, right?"

She had gotten cancelled on because of school issues by Neville, but she was hoping it was just school things and not that he'd lost interest. She didn't know why he'd been on her mind constantly, "I'm working on my business plan to open a shop in Hogsmeade."

Megan nodded as she ordered something from the waitress passing by. On any normal night, she would have had just a simple beer, but it was her birthday for crying out loud. She wanted one of those fruity colourful drinks in the fancy glasses. "If we must." Megan let out a comical heavy sight and then laughed.

Megan listened to Hannah for a moment a proud smile forming over her face. "Hannah, that's wonderful. How's that going? Making good headway then?" she asked curious.

"I think I have a good start. I've peeked at some properties in Hogsmeade, but I haven't set up any official inquiries yet. I've got a basic business plan, but there is room for improvements I think. I need to find a partner or an investor. Neville volunteered, but I don't want to take advantage and blur professional and personal relationships, you know? If he even wants to have a personal one."

Megan rested her elbows on the table and crossed her arms. She leaned over a little bit so she could hear Hannah just a little bit better. Plus, she tended to do that when she was really into a conversation. "I wish I had the money to put up for the shop, because I think it's a winning situation." Megan said honestly. It wasn't like Megan made horrible money, but with her situation, it didn't leave a whole lot for savings. She was lucky that Kaie had wanted to be her roommate and together they were able to afford a nice place together.

"What do you mean 'If he even wants to have a personal one?'" Megan asked raising an eyebrow skeptically. "I thought you two were getting along fine?" she asked wondering. She had news of her own on the dating front, but that could wait for a moment. Friends came first after all.

"Well we were supposed to have a date this weekend and he canceled on it at the last minute. I'm not entirely sure how to take that, I might be reading too much into it, but he did seem sorry." Hannah replied with a weak shrug. She didn't really have a ton of self-confidence when it came to relationships. Marcus had been her only serious relationship and he'd died.

Megan thought it over for a moment before responding. That did sound like a bit of a tricky situation. And after all, all she did know about the budding relationship is what Hannah had told her, so she didn't know much more than that. Granted, she wasn't the prying sort so she didn't need to know, but still. She liked to know that her friends were doing okay, and when things weren't going well, she liked to fix that as best as she could. "Well, maybe he just busy up at the school. You know how teenagers are. They can be more of a handful than little ones." she said with a small laugh. "I'm sure it's not as bad as you think. I don't think he'd cancel on you if it wasn't important." she said trying to reassure her friend as best as she could.

The drinks came promptly and Megan began to play with the plastic sword holding onto the cherry in the bright pink drink, swirling it around. "Speaking of, er, dates..." she said trying to think of a good way to announce this per say. Megan had a few short dates, nothing that ever came of anything, but that didn't stop her from being excited about this date-that-might-not-actually-be-a-date none the less.

Megan sipped her drink for a moment with a tiny embarrassed smile. "Well, I'm still not one hundred percent sure that it's an actual date. But I am meeting with a guy I met over the journals. He's very nice." Megan said, then realized how shady that might have sounded. "But, um, he's not a creep or anything like that. Pretty on the level..." she said trailing off for a moment.

"He's got a break from the school so he's going to meet me in Hogsmeade and we're meeting for a late lunch." she said no longer trying to suppress the smile on her face.

Megan looked down into her drink and tried to contain her excitement a little bit. As much as she knew his name, she knew that Viktor was still a person, and going all fan girl right now wasn't going to help the situation at all. She looked back up at Hannah, knowing that she was getting that looks. She shifted her eyes to the side for a moment trying to show that it wasn't that big of deal. "Just Viktor Krum." she shrugged one of her shoulder, but clearly she wasn't doing a great job hiding her excitement.

But it was for more than just going out with Viktor Krum. It was because someone wanted to see her. She was expanding her circle of friends, and the fact that she hadn't been out on anything that even resembled a date (even if this turned out not to be a date after all) in almost two years, she was just happy to change up the routine, meet someone new, go off on a new adventure. Even if it was just a late lunch.

	"Viktor Krum? Like.... tri-wizarding tournament Viktor Krum?" she asked, looking at her friend, the guy was famous and she was just like 'oh just him'. Hannah just watched her friend for a small laugh, "Only you would think of him as only just another person. Not to say that he isn't a person, but he's like famous." Megan finally let out a small laugh, letting some of this pent up happy energy go at Hannah reaction. "Exactly like that Viktor Krum." she said no longer trying to hold back. Okay, really, she had to get it out somehow. She wasn't going to let herself be stupid around him, might as well, let it out around someone who knew that Megan wasn't the superficial sort. She shrugged at her other comment.

"I don't know, I just, he's very nice. Very much the gentleman. I mean at first I was freaking out because like everyone knows him, but then we started talking and...he's just so refreshingly normal." she admitted. It wasn't often that she was able to have a decent conversation with the opposite sex without it becoming too familiar, or weird, or creepy. Even if this was only just through the journals.
