True to what Merlin had said, his bottle of Quidditch broomstick oil had broke, and thus Zacharias had to return to Diagon Alley to get a new one. Which he did the next day, Saturday afternoon being a decent enough time for a stroll and running some errands. At least, interesting sorts of errands - which Quidditch supplies always were.
With a new bottle securely in a bag, the blonde former Hufflepuff decided to browse the alley a bit, as his attempts to do just that had been cut rather short yesterday, when the odd boy had run into him (in a literal manner). Diagon Alley and offshoots were busy, with school just around the corner and students frantic to get supplies. Well, some students frantic to get supplies, and some students getting hauled along by frantic parents.
Walking up to the end of Diagon, Zacharias turned down Memorial. He walked with a sort of purpose that was always there, slowing and then pausing as he came upon Sugarush. Well. Sweets were always a welcome thing. He decided he could use some, and walked through the door with a jingle of bells above.
Browsing through the store (and artfully dodging small children with exciteable eyes and grabby hands), he found stopped in front of some pumpkin flavoured candies - always a flavour he liked. He reach reaching for a bag of pumpkin shaped cream candies, when someone walked near, and he stepped to the side - and then realized he knew the person. "Corner," he said. Michael had never exactly been a friend, although they'd been in the same year and thus had classes together all the way through - and were in the DA together (although Michael had been much more invested in it than Zacharias, who had only gone because Ernie and Hannah and the like were there, and had mostly scoffed over things).
