That may have been what Zacharias though, but Michael really didn’t think he was worth the time. He spent most of his time snarking with Pansy and she was worth his time and effort so much more than anyone else ever would be. Of course that did lead him to wonder if perhaps normal couples didn’t spend nearly as much time snarking at one another as they did. Oh well, it worked for them.
At his comment about taste registered Mike found himself bristling even further. That sounded suspiciously like a dig at Pansy and there were only a handful of people he’d tolerate that from and Smith wasn’t one of them. He was going to do his absolute best to not make a scene though. They were in Memorial Alley and he would not, not, pull his wand on someone there. He wanted to though. He wanted to hex Smith just as much as he’d wanted to when they were in school. Something about the blonde just rubbed him the wrong way every time he saw him.
“As wonderful as this little visit has been, I do have to be going,” Mike bit out, grabbing a few random bags of candy and chocolate to take to the register. He didn’t want to leave empty handed. Plus if he had something in his hands he couldn’t choke the life out of the smug bastard in front of him.
