Who: Oliver and Meghan
What: Getting checked out by the Mediwitches in the first aid tent. And a surprise!
Where: Caerphilly Pitch
When: Yesterday after the Scotland/Australia match
Rating/Status: TBA? And Incomplete. Also, I'm going to start this here, but the log might be done through email if it's easier on both of us?

"Ugh," Oliver groaned as he laid on the bed that the first aid tents had set up for injured players. It had been a rough match. The Australian beaters saw a flaw in their plan to win by the name of Oliver Wood, so they're way to solve it was to purposely aim the bludgers at him. The first missed, but the second took him out, sending him to the ground and onto his head.

Now, this wasn't the first time Oliver landed on his head. Nor was it the worst by any means. But knowing he had to be taken out of the game for it is what hurt the most. He had full confidence in Meghan, but she still wasn't a hundred percent. And that worried him. Not only as a teammate, but as his girlfriend.

She did fine at first, but before he knew it, he watched the vomit fly. Something was wrong, and Meghan knew it too as she looked at their coach, who promptly put Oliver back in.

Now sporting one hell of a headache, Oliver was off his game. Goals were being scored left and right. Thankfully Iwelumo caught the snitch before things got worse.

So there Oliver laid, some potions already taken but his head still pounding. "Those wankers got a game suspension, right?" Oliver asked to whoever was listening.

Meghan wasn't sure what the hell was going on with her. She didn't usually get sick. She'd been feeling horrible for awhile now, but she'd tried to shrug it off. It was the bloody World Cup and she wasn't going to let a little nausea stop her.

Granted, she was worried about Ollie, too, after that fall, but she tried to put that out of her head so she could do her job. It worked for awhile, but then another wave of nausea hit her and while she managed to keep on her broom, the flying vomit didn't exactly help her stay on task.

Now that it was all over, she was a little embarrassed. Vomiting during a match? What the hell was going on with her? They'd given her a potion that was helping, at least, but she wasn't any happier about it.

"I don't think suspension is nearly what they deserve," she grumbled as the healer examined her. The witch was "hmmming" a lot, her face thoughtful, and it made Meghan worry, but not nearly so much as when the woman actually spoke.

"You'll be perfectly fine, Miss McCormack," she murmured with a slight smile, "in about nine months." Meghan could only stare at her, her mouth working soundlessly for a moment.

"What?"

"They bloody well deserve something, because that was ridiculous," he groaned as another witch put a cold pack on his head to try to cool him down a bit.

Oliver was half paying attention to what was going on with Meghan and her witch, mostly because his eyes were a bit sensitive to the light in the tent still. He was still worried for her though, so he reached out to the table that was beside him and laid his hand atop of Meghan's, wanting to make sure that she knew he was there for her.

But then he thought about what the witch said. Nine months? Why in the bloody hell would...

"WHAT?!" he yelled, rolling off of the table and barely landing on his feet, standing next to Meghan when he managed to catch his balance.

"Well, possibly less than that. You'll need to go to St. Mungo's as soon as possible to get more proper tests done. But," the witch said, turning around the screen that showed Meghan's belly. The witch had used some type of wand looking thing to look around Meghan's body to make sure there was nothing serious going on which was making her vomit. The only reason Oliver even remembered this going on was because he was confused as to what the machine was, since he had never seen it before, and that's how they explained it. Whatever it was produced a picture, showing a black dot, about the size of an egg. "You're quite a few weeks along, Miss."

Oliver fainted.

Meghan smiled when she felt Ollie's hand cover hers. It was a simple gesture, but it was amazing how much better it made her feel. She'd never been given to that sort of sappy nonsense about love and romance, but there was no denying the way Oliver made her heart flutter or the way she really liked having him around.

When the news sank in, though, even the touch of Ollie's hand couldn't seem to comfort her, though. "I'm what?" she repeated, her tone softer than Ollie's had been, though she certainly didn't blame him. "But I can't be, we're really care- oh..." Right. She'd forgotten about that night when they'd gotten back together and now that she thought of it, she couldn't remember if she'd thought to.. bloody hell.

Chewing her lip, she finally chanced a glance at her boyfriend just in time to see him faint.

It was about five minutes later that Oliver woke up on the table, again, his head hurting just as much as it was the first time, but instead of worrying about whether or not the Australian beaters were getting suspended, he was worried about the fact that he was going to be a Dad.

A dad! He was scared, confused, but at the same time excited for the possibility of having his own little sprout. He adored Fred's daughter, and had played with little Gabe a few times back when he was still little. The thought of his own was exciting yet dreadfully scary at the same time.

Ignoring the mediwitches who were trying to push back onto the table, he stood up, regained his balance, then leaned in to give Meghan a soft kiss. "Hey. Sorry I fainted..."

Meghan nodded, but there was an amused smirk on her lips as she returned the brief kiss.

"You fainted," she teased him. This whole apparently being knocked up thing wasn't really any less of a shock or any less scary, but she couldn't help her mild amusement at his reaction now that he was awake and she'd been assured that he was alright.

"Maybe you should lie back down," she suggested, still smirking as the mediwitches continued to try to encourage him back to the table. Rather than sound worried, though, she merely sounded amused.

"I know I did, stop picking on me," he whined a bit, but smiled. "My head hurts."

The mediwitches tugged at him one more time, but he finally gave in, feeling a little lightheaded again. So he laid back down on the table and closed his eyes, reaching back over for Meghan's hand, squeezing it gently.

Oliver knew he was going to be alright. He was always pretty loopy after a concussion, no matter how big or small it was. And he knew that deep down that they were going to be alright. Even though he technically wasn't allowed to, Oliver dozed off into a semi-coherent sleep, hoping that all of this would make more sense when his head was in it's right space.
