Who: Bill & Fleur Weasley, guest appearances by Victoire and Charlie!
When: Friday 23 July.  Evening.
Where: Shell Cottage.
What: Watching their niece, getting a preview of what it might be like to have more than one small child running around.
Rating: Tame and full of toddlers.

Fleur knew she had over a month before the beginning of the term, but ever since she had received word that the professorship was hers, she had been trying to hide just how nerve wracking she found it all.  Professor Weasley!  She had considering Professor Delacour-Weasley, but knew that her maiden name by itself was enough of a chore for non-French speakers to pronounce.  Add 'Weasley' to that and it was a recipe for disaster.  The fact that she would be responsible for making sure classes full of students would receive an adequate comprehension of arithmancy was a little daunting to her.  She was confident that she could do it, and do it well, at that, but this knowledge hadn't kept her from being a bit uneasy anyway.

This week, Fleur would have little time to dwell on that, though.  Try as she might to begin organizing her lesson plans, the task was proving impossible with two little girls running around.  Since Charlie's arrival earlier in the week, Victoire's normally even energy level had sky-rocketed.  There seemed to be closer to six toddlers in the house, with all the things the two cousins managed to get themselves into.  Right now, sitting on the sofa, Fleur could hear them in Victoire's room, playing loudly - it sounded as though Victoire was trying to make it known just how many of the toys in the room belonged to her.

The sound of footsteps made Fleur look up, in time to see Bill coming down the hall.  She put her quill down and drew her feet up onto the couch.  "Please tell me Victoire is sharing.  I do not think I can handle another tantrum like yesterday's."

Fleur nodded, a bit absently, making a quick correction to one of the equations before turning her full attention to Bill.

"I think I am a little ahead of where I originally planned. Which is good. I was told I will mostly have fourth years and up, although it is available to third years with permission," she replied, making to hand one of the sheets to Bill. He probably wouldn't know what to make of most of it, but she felt a demonstration was due.

A warm smile came to her face as she moved a pillow aside to make room for Bill. "You were quite bright in school, were you not?"

He scanned the sheet briefly, nodding.

"Isn't the Chaldean text a bit dense for fourth years? I think we did it in sixth."

Curling up on the couch, he gave a sly grin.

"They don't make you head boy unless you're decently bright," he said, teasingly. "I did get OWLS in all my subjects, but that doesn't mean much. Percy and Hermione managed it."

"Are you nervous?" he asked. "We'll need to get your office things packed up soon. Do you get the nice office up near the Astronomy tower, or one of the lower ones?"

"Originally they said I would be in a lower office, but one of the ones near the Tower opened a few weeks ago...I had been very persistent," she admitted, sounding only a little reluctant to say so. "It isn't terribly big, but the location is better, and I do not think I will need very much room."

As to the question of nerves, Fleur's brow creased a little and began to answer when a clatter from the next room gave her a start. She looked over her shoulder, alarmed, but relaxed when the sounds of giggles came just moments after. Whatever mess the girls were making, she supposed it could be cleaned up quickly enough.

She nodded. "I am, a little. Nervous. There is just so much to consider, half the time I am not even thinking about what I will be teaching at all."
