Nov 24-Dec 1
Limesville held this year's Fall Festival in Grootslang Park. Gates opened at 10AM and crowds were greeted by advisors and the local councilman. Brochures were handed to each visitor, containing a map of the fairgrounds and a list of the entertainment to be enjoyed on that day. There were booths lined up all along the festival grounds, starting at the entrance and stretching across the park. Back by popular demand, there was a DJ booth, where music, contests sponsored from across Winterdale during the festival and interviews were aired throughout the event. The food was plentiful, with local restaurants serving a large variety of dishes. Paige’s Teagarden offered new titles for their fall flavors such as cranberry, caramel, and maple with previews of some of their Christmas menu. If you were more a coffee drinker, the folks at It’s A Grind had special selections they were selling, like their new fan favorite s'mores cappuccinos! Pause held a special adoption event and featured a sampling of their fall/winter snacks available in the cafe including the new orange cranberry mini biscuits available for humans and pets alike. There was also plenty of entertainment to keep everyone buzzing with excitement! Various game stalls and bushels of apples were available for picking through. Pumpkin tosses and a scarecrow designing booth were set up out beside the corn maze which seemed to appear overnight. There was a special outdoor ice rink with a show that performed twice a day. The rink was kept cold by means of magic, giving everyone the opportunity to skate once the performances were finished! The rink is set to be maintained through the winter. There were also carnival rides and many booths full of crafts, food, and other items for purchase. Fall was in the crisp air and there was excitement at every turn! |
