The dark never seemed like too much of a big deal for Bokuto. It was a natural sort of thing. Sure it was when most of the bug came out and things like that, but it was also when things like owls did and those weren't scary unless you were a mouse. Yet, even Bokuto couldn't deny the howling wind and general unsettling feeling from knowing there were no lights anywhere near. It was like being in a maze with no clear way out.
He could tell something was off, and he knew he needed to get them back to their dorm.
But Akaashi was right. They needed to change and get their stuff before they went. It wasn't far, but they'd at least want their pants and jackets. He nodded, still smiling and thinking. "Yeah. You're right."
He did laugh a little and shake his head. "No. I can't do that." He looked backwards, even if that was useless, before starting to step again. "I think mine's on the bench by the door." It was just a matter of getting there. Once they had a light, even if just a tiny one, everything would be so much easier. Though, as if on cue he bumped into the ball bin, huffing a breath and turning to glare in it's general direction.
"I'm okay." He offered, though, in case it made Akaashi more tense, and kept moving, but a touch slower until he felt his leg hit the bench. "There!" He all but shouted and turned to dip and feel around, maybe giving Akaashi some tugs since he wouldn't let go. After some light fumbling he got the phone and flashlight working, looking over at Akaashi with a grin.
"That wasn't so bad, come on." He nodded, more than happy to lead the way so they could go get their stuff from the lockerroom and head out and back to the dorms.
