Finished
The Master tuned out most of the babble of his guide as they headed for the ship. He knew the specifications, as he'd designed the ships, he merely wanted to see if they had built it to his satisfaction before authorizing the launch. It was perhaps not the best idea to take over a colony of humans, for all that they were providing entertainment and a base from which to launch his plans. They were a little... irritating, to say the least.
He waved the man aside as he stepped into the hatch, the lock cycling, and opening onto a hallway that was unfamiliar. The Master frowned, trying to cycle the lock again, but the controls wouldn't respond to his commands. His frown deepened, and he took a cautious step out into the hallway. The hatch behind him hissed shut, and vanished into the wall.
Trapped. In an unfamiliar location, by unfamiliar technology. This was not an auspicious beginning to his day. The Master took a deep breath, turning down the corridor, away from the dead-end that was now behind him, and began to search, looking into every room he found. Closets, offices, board rooms. A cubicle farm, as he recalled the one massive room full of sectioned areas called by the humans of the era such had existed.
Twentieth or twenty-first century Earth in appearence, then. Though if that was indeed where he was, he'd have to kill someone. Preferably whoever had brought him here. He didn't want to relive even the moments he hadn't lived in the first place. Too much risk the Doctor would run into him, and ruin his plans before they could properly get off the ground, and then he'd have to start from scratch again.
Finding a lift, he carefully stepped inside, giving the buttons a once-over. Three floors and a lobby. He jabbed the button for the lobby with perhaps a touch more force than neccessary, tense until the door opened to reveal a nearly empty lobby. Just one person there, and the Master stepped out of the lift, his expression carefully calm as he approached them.
