The Master sighed, pulling his other hand out of his pocket, and stroking the back of his index figner along the line of Adric's jaw. Gentle, almost affectionate, with a dissapointed smile on his face.
"That really isn't helping, Adric." He crooked a knuckle under Adric's chin, lifting it slightly. "As amusing as the resistance is, I really had something a little less bloody in mind for running into one of the Doctor's companions."
He fished out the laser screwdriver, twirling the controls a moment, keeping his gaze fixed on Adric's face as he aimed the weapon, firing a brief burst at the boy's feet. No need to start with anything important, after all.
"Shall we try this again, Adric? What are you doing here?"
