Jethro was running down a dark alley. He quickly tripped over a homeless smelly blanket. He scraped his hands and his chin as he landed on the cold pavement. He gritted his teeth.
His dark brown eyes quickly looked back toward the busy streets of Cardiff. He could see the flashing blue lights zooming past the alley way he came from.
They were gone. He was relieved. He had been running forever. He hadn’t a chance to time to catch a breath.
“What could I do for drink of water?” he said to the air.
The pile of blankets had started to move. Jethro had thought the city smelled trashy but there was more a stench trashy smell coming from the pile of blankets. He stood still like a deer that was memorized by lights from an automobile at night.
He wasn’t taking his chances. He carefully but quickly moved away from the alien who lived under the blanket. Jethro had the common sense that person had no home.
He poked his head out from the alley way, he had seen no flashing lights. It had seemed to be clear.
Though there was one problem. He had no idea where he was. He had no idea where to go. He was lost. He figured the alien or person the alley way had more of a chance than he did.
Jethro had looked up at the nightly sky. He studied some astrology in school. He had saw stars that he never saw before. He was far away from his parents. He was far off.
He was cold. He had a black tee shirt on, black trousers, black military boots, silver gothic necklace from Sto, and he had black nail polish on. He was even hungry. He needed to shelter and food.
He had decided to walk down the street, and he heard foot steps come toward him. He froze. This place had given him the creeps. The foot steps got closer and he ran! Ran for his life once again.
