Character(s): Jenny [Open] Day: Day 2 Time of Day: Early Afternoon Location: London Rating: PG? Thread Status: Pending
Jenny blinked at her console as she rubbed the sleep from her eyes. It was blinking at her, and making a new noise. She shook her head and pulled her hair back into a pony tail before sitting forward and looking at the console. A few of the instruments had stopped working a few jumps back, but the ones that were important were still working. Working and currently flashing. The beeping was also giving her something of a headache. The beeping mixed with the fact that she had eaten nothing for at least fifteen hours. She was also out of water. So it was a very good thing that there was a planet near by. Very near by as it would seem.
"Oh!" She gasped out and sat up a bit straighter as she took the controls. The planet's gravity was pulling her little ship in, and her shielding had been on and off sense she had installed the vortex manipulator. She hoped that they were on right now, if they weren't, she'd make one hell of a flaming pancake when she hit the ground. She flipped the switch for the shield and sighed loudly as the whirl of the shields came online. Now if she could just get out of the nose dive.
"Come on, come on! Just a few hundred thousand more feet and we can give you a nice long rest." the ship however didn't seem to want to listen to her and as they neared closer to the ground Jenny found herself loosing the controls completely. The crash was going to happen and there was nothing she could do about it. Luckily for her, she had the shields activated, and she wouldn't be killed. Bruised, but not killed.
She strapped into the chair and held on as she watched the ground coming closer and closer. She could see a river in the distance, and a very large clock. That was a clock right? She couldn't get a good look as seconds later the ship crashed into the street. She felt her whole body being thrust forward with the impact and was glad the straps were strong.
However, she didn't think she'd be able to get out of the ship. The nose and console were now completely in her lap, and she could feel blood trailing down her head. Oh, she did have a headache. What fun. She closed her eyes.
"Hello? Someone? Help? Please?" She hoped that whatever planet she had crashed into was full of friendly helpful people. She could really use it right about now.
