What: What should have been an idle conversation about plants, turns into a discussion of ideology, government, and the rights of nonhumans.

Fleur had cleared the kitchen table after dinner for Neville's arrival and the plants he'd brought. For all that she had a number of plants set aside for herbology lessons for the children she taught next week, Neville knew far more about herbology and had seen and probably forgotten far more than she'd ever know. Bill had Margaux and Marcel upstairs, although he'd said he might come down after he put the children to bed. Fleur had spent the afternoon making an apple crumble, the least she thought she could do for Neville's good efforts after paying him for the plants, and there would be coffee and a sweet and good company once the work was over. Now the crumble was cooling on the counter, well away from where they'd be working with the plants, and Fleur was waiting for the wards to announce Neville.
