Ive been thinking of creating a colony-like based game, in an alternate reality type game without the aspect of supernatural or futuristic ways, more based to reality standards. Arranged marriages, elders controlling the different districts of the colony. Having up to 6 colonies, based off the Hawaiian islands. Life would be strict to the rules and ways of privacy to only what is around you verse knowing of an outside world beyond their own. Any thoughts? Any recommendations and would anyone join?

I've been getting a lot of pimps for gaslampmod. I've looked it over and still not sure. Any one have any ideas on it? Is it active, friendly, are the writers and mod easy to deal with? Is it more AIM or thread friendly? Anything?

Howdies! I'm looking for a friendly OC friendly Harry Potter game. I don't know a lot about HP so I'd feel better if it was something where I could have a character grow into the setting. I'm also very interested in a fantasy roleplay. Anything that might be fun :)

I have never done an online RPG but I have done several D&D style RPGs. I want to start out with something easy. I don't want to be in a Harry Potter or something based off of something else, I want it to be original so I can play a character that I made. Any suggestions?

I keep running across ads for this game, apocalypsenight- it's based on LJ Smith's Night World books and it looks pretty active, pretty interesting, but I don't know any of the players.

The fandom seems pretty small in general so I'm afraid of the possibility of cliquishness, I guess.

Have any of you heard anything about it? Good/bad/indifferent?

Specific game: blackfdalemod.

I'm just putting it out there, the mod of this game didn't exactly steal the premise of BadWater (badwatermod) but it is strikingly similar. This normally wouldn't be a problem, am I right? Because there's a shit ton of Twilight games and Harry Potter games and all kinds of fantasy/panfandom games out there that are similar. However, the mod of blackfdalemod used to be a member of BadWater, and as soon as the plot didn't go the way she wanted, her and about four other people (who were a plot hogging clique who played each other's family members and ex boyfriends excluding everyone else from plot) acted petty and childish and left. Then, she started up this new game claiming that her "muse died". However, she started a game almost exactly the same and played characters that were almost carbon copies of the ones she originally had at the previous game.

This is why older, active town games die. Because people don't like it when the plot doesn't go their way for once and leave.

This group didn't even let the mod know. They just up and left, ignoring everyone who remained in the game because they didn't want unreasonable drama to kill a good thing.

I'm also not sure if this is what the community is about, but beware of blackfdalemod because the mod is extremely petty.

But does anyone know about the game reformpoint over on Inksome? I'd like to join, but I haven't been able to contact the mod at all to ask questions? I want to know if it's still running, and ask like, if the character I had in mind was acceptable, where to send the application etc etc. Maybe I'm just being totally dumb, but er...a little help, anyone? I guess I'm asking if the game's even active; should I even bother trying?
