Welcome (Back) to WC!
Happy New Year!!
As of this post, WC is open for business! Because our reboot pulls characters from other games and, in some cases, creates (short-term) character duplicates, there are a few things you should know.
- WC-Based Characters: Some time ago, the City placed some of its citizens in stasis to gain extra power. When it needed even more power to rescue everyone, it put the rest of the WC-based characters in stasis. When WC characters are taken out of stasis, it seems to them that they have woken up to the same date when the first batch of characters was put into stasis; to some it seems nothing's happened, but to others, they'll know the date is 'wrong'.
- RC-Based Characters: The City pulled every living person from RC right before this post and placed them in the City. If your character comes straight from RC with no other game history after that, then they will not remember anything that happened from just before the Snow Dinos, forward.
- Other-game Characters: These characters were pulled from either RC or WC in a pocket universe. Upon being pulled into the City, they will remember everything from their old timelines.
- Duplicates: (!Important!: Characters who were pulled from the City into other games actually splintered off into a separate reality. These characters were actually placed in stasis, in the City's reality.) If your character has been in two or more games, then you can choose to play one or more of them as duplicates and resolve the duplicates later OR you can choose to 'marry' all the duplicates into one character with all memories intact, right at the beginning of launch.
- Because of the duplicates and clashing timelines/reality-lines, the City's placement routine isn't working correctly, so weirdness may be happening. Have fun with this! Do what you will! And if you've got any questions, just chat with us!
- Memories are retained for everyone except RC folks coming straight from RC. The City interrupted their timeline completely to save them, so just remember to forget everything from the Snow Dinos onward.
