Because this has come up with a few different people plotting with or asking to plot with Rose, I’m going to put this out there for everybody:

While I realize that she’s a fairly iconic character, and it’s possible that it’s canonically accurate for your character to have watched the Golden Girls, please don’t break the fourth wall with Rose. If she ever found out that her entire life, her friends, her family, her children, Charlie, St. Olaf and herself were all fictional, it would break her beyond my ability to play her. I know this may make it hard for your character to skirt around the topic, and brushing up against it is fine, as long as it’s not stated outright or put so blatantly that even Rose can’t ignore it. Thank you.

And as long as we’re on the topic, Harley would probably handle the concept of being fictional much better, but I would still prefer that I be asked before broaching that topic with her. There are very few circumstances where I can imagine that I’d want her to find out either, actually.

In short, please don’t punch holes in the fourth wall with an ice pick when dealing with my critters? Thank you!
