new job, adjusting badly

please be patient with me the next few days. i just started a new job and the adjustment is pretty steep. i'll do what i can to keep up, but am having a tough time focusing on much of anything. i love everybody here, and could really do with the distraction of plotting, so please consider this post a plea for plot/love/distraction.

thank you.

RULES UPDATE

Think you know the rules for WC? Well, you probably do -- but just in case, we've clarified the NO GOD-MODDING rule.

This is common sense, really, but we wanted to call out the fact that using your character's powers - whatever special powers they might be - on another player's character/NPC is god-modding if you don't have the other player's permission beforehand.

We don't expect that any of you fine and lovely RPers do this! But here's your protection against any unscrupulous people who might try in the future.

We ♥ you!

Why hello!

Beth here, bringing in my last character. This is Raven Archer. She's from Demonology 101, which is an amazing webcomic. I played her briefly before We_Co closed and I wasn't sure I was going to bring her back (she's kind of shy), but then I had an idea for her and decided to give it a go.

For those who don't know D101, Raven's a (half-)demon who was raised by a human. She's also a prime example of nature vs. nurture. Basically? She is the most normal kid you'd ever hope to meet, except that she has a long and unpleasant history of being abducted, used as bait for her foster-dad, and toyed with by other demons. She's homesick, but being here in the City is actually a plus. Aside from the normal City weird, no one's tried to bother or manipulate her in ages.

Anyway, she's now working in the Magic Box as an assistant manager (she's still kind of young to manage on her own, after all) and taking classes at the local college as a Freshman. If anyone wants to run into her, I am all for it - don't mind the red eyes and pointy ears, she's a nice kid. Promise.
