Harry, where are you? I need y

These wish baubles are peculiar things. They rather chillingly remind me of the Prophecies

I'm tempted to wish for Hogwarts library, simply to do more research on them but that seems like such a selfish wish when this world is on the verge of relapsing into apocalypse. There must be something more useful we can wish for.

Oh and for those who have been skirting around talking to me frankly for fear that you may let slip that I'm fictional in this world, I know now. I've finished reading the first book and I'm part way through the second. I know how the story ends so there's no need to worry about "spoilers".

Have you ever wanted to laugh, cry and scream at the same time?

I would like to think that wishing for that library would be a helpful gift since there are magic users from your world here who can make use of it. I know I spent a lot of time there when the Seal sent me there for two weeks earlier this year.

You came to Hogwarts? We didn't meet, did we?

No, we didn't. The seal sent a rather large group of us to fictional lands for a few weeks, and I was transformed into an eleven-year-old and sorted. But you and the other students from the books weren't there. Your professors and the rest of the staff and ghosts were there, though.

Which house were you sorted into?

I was in Ravenclaw. The Doctor was also sorted into that house, which he got an absolute kick out of.

The Sorting Hat thought about putting me in Ravenclaw but, in the end, it decided on Gryffindor. I wouldn't have minded either, although, with hindsight, I'm glad I got put where I did.

Oh, but the library would be an excellent wish And probably very useful too.

And, thank God. I've gotten better at not just blurting out and fangirling at my favourite people. I know how hard it is to come to terms with the fictional thing myself. But, still it's very hard not to become excited when you meet characters that you hero-worship or love in real life.

Do you think so? I wasn't sure it would be relevant for this world.

Fangirling?

Well, things can come here from other worlds too.

Besides, your magic still works here. And, you never know, some of the magic from your home could come in handy here, too.

A fangirl is someone who gets very obsessed with a particular tv show, book series, movie etc. And gets really attached to the characters, Fangirling is when you get super excited about meeting them, or learning more facts about them.

Right. And you were excited to meet... me?

Yes. Is that okay?

You were always my favourite in the books. Mostly because you were the one I most related to. The one who loves books, and studying. Just, with me it was science, not magic.

I liked science at junior school.

Isn't everything about this situation weird?

Not as much as you, I would imagine. I'm better at spells than I am at building circuits.

You said you're a doctor, didn't you? My parents are dentists.

Actually the library could well be amazing. Talk to Loki, he's got a lot of magical books and a massive library, but I'm not sure if he's got anything from our world. Also, I think you'd love his library.

You really don't need to read the books. I know it could be hard for you. Though there's a meme on the internet that says the books should all be renamed Hermione Granger and the Saving the Boys. Years One through Seven.

I want to. I want to know what they say.

And it's wrong, you know. I wouldn't have lasted 5 minutes without Harry and Ron.

He's not that bad, you know.

I keep thinking that I want to go home but then I remember that home, for the last year, has been a tent that smells of boy and cabbage stew, I still have no idea where Mum and Dad are or if I'll ever see them again and that people are dead and even though You Know Who's gone it's not going to bring them back. After that I feel rather stupid for wanting to go back.

He can still be a git when he wants to be.

You're not stupid. That's the last thing you are, yeah?

Look, Hermione, this place? It's calm right now. It's nothing like it was for you at home. Everything there was - you couldn't breathe if you wanted to, right? Then the war up and ends and I expect it took the lot of us ages to accept that we weren't going to be hauled off and done in for who we were. No matter where you are, that's not gonna change. The war doesn't just end. Not in your head. Being round less people who know what that feels like probably doesn't make it any easier, I expect.

And your Mum and Dad? They're still out there. You'll find them.

Not always.

Er, no. No, not really. You help save the world, you sort of get to skip over all those tests and get a free pass straight on to train up as an Auror. Decided to do that. And I help George with the shop when I've got the time, too.

They've got Gawain Robards in charge of the Auror Office. There was talk of him stepping down, but I dunno who they're going to replace him with. As for Minister? Kingsley's running the show.

He's doing a brilliant job of it.

Course you did. And if there weren't a Hogwarts, d'you really think that'd stop you from going back? You'd sit there in piles of rubble so long as there were books around to grab your attention.

But that wasn't an issue. Summer before, we all went in and helped rebuild. Hogwarts is as good as new. And you? You flew threw that last year, easy. Now you're at the Ministry, looking for new ways to save the world.

I'm glad Hogwarts was rebuilt. I always saw it as so strong and... invulnerable. It was horrible to see it in ruins.

They're good. Weird as it sounds, we've all managed to somehow get on after the war ended. Even Mum. I didn't think she'd ever After

Probably doesn't help that you and me were still sorting it all out round that time. I mean...you now. You're still sorting it out, right?

It's a lot to take on. Trust me, I had my share of it when Hugo and Rose were here trying to paint the picture in my head.
