	The situation with Ruby. I know you've got your opinions on it, and all of that. But that's not the point. If she's going to curse one of us, we need to make sure it's me. I don't want her to curse anyone. But if she's going to, it needs to be me, because I can take anything she's got. After the Cage, it's not going to impress me.

And I want her to make the first move. And the second move. And for everyone else to make their moves after that. I want to know where everyone is planning on standing before we do anything. Let her be the one to push them into making their choices. I don't want to give her any reason to play the victim card.

Honestly? Yes, I am stronger in that sense. One of the circles was absolute blinding pain, Nik. I survived hell. Vomiting needles will be a walk in the park compared to that.

Oh I don't think it'll be easy, not even a little bit. She may play the long game, but we can do it better and longer. I want to know where everyone is standing before we make any move.

I want Sam restored. I actually do, I like him, in a weirdly really not getting along way. As for her sanity, I question if she had any in the first place.

	I never suffered hell. But equally you don't know the pain of the Hunter's Curse. That blinding pain, constant agony. Do not assume you're the only one who understands it. Look at you, quite the little schemer aren't you? Maybe, maybe not, frankly I could care less. But yet she did not threaten us until this. Oh, she brings out the "I'll make you vomit needles" threat every few months. It's just the first time it's been aimed at us.

If they feared us, it would be nothing but fighting, all the time. They'd lash out, try to kill us. Even the bloodlines wouldn't stop them, they'll think Caroline and Stefan are just as bad for being in love with us. Make them too scared and they might even think the Bransons are worth losing as collateral damage. At best we'd have to spend our time running, again. Forget the horses, our home, our life here. We'd be fleeing from witches, gods and angels for the rest of eternity.

So we play politics. If she wants to attack us, make her the villain. Not us.

Considering I seem to be the one she hates the most, it's the most logical solution.

When was the last time I actually threatened anyone? You threaten at least twice a week, obviously, but I don't. I only make it clear that if anyone hurts my family or friends, I'll rip all their limbs off and set them on fire. Which isn't a threat. It's a promise of retaliation if, and only if, my loved ones are hurt. Totally different.

It's predictable. And no one wants us to be predictable. It's so dull.

That's a threat Bekah. Just saying. People tend to take them badly.

You want to talk predictable? To me. When I've shown mercy to Stefan, to Rosemarie, even to bloody Katerina. They've all conspired against me and yet because they are loved by my family I show mercy. Stefan threatened to put me in your body, Rosemarie was fool enough to let Katerina do what she did, and well...Katerina herself needs to explaination.

So you tell me that I'm predictable when for you all I have shown more mercy in 6 months than I have in a century. You tell me that.

Or perhaps I should revoke that mercy. Would that be less 'dull'

Why? You spoke up for what you felt was right, never stop doing that. And you got the bitch queen of Lawrence raging at you in return. Making comments about you that were completely out of line.

If she's going to curse any of us, let's really hope it's me. And I have the thing to say to her to make sure it is if we have to. But I'm going to need your help to keep Nik and Elijah from going insane.

Which is something claimed to be offered until anyone gets reminded that we can't be killed, or we're honest about how good we are, or anything else gets said that's offensive when we say it but okay for anyone else.

She hates vampires. She calls us all leeches.

None of us would be ideal. I'm hoping that when Sam is restored, she'll actually decide that her husband and child are a little bit more important than proving some vendetta against us, but just in case? I want to be prepared.

Them losing it won't help anything. If Ruby wants to go batshit crazy at our family, then we need to be seen as the good guys and her the villain. Any move we make will make popular opinion swing against us and I don't want to have to flee this place.

I want to hold out hope that she'll decide her apparent vendetta isn't worth it. But I don't know if even getting Sam back will do that. When she talked to me it kinda seemed like she's been thinking about it for a while.

So we want her to play her hand, for none of us to lash out when apparently you get hurt, and make her the villain? How do we explain any of that to Henrik? Because its going to need to be explained to him.

	She probably has. A lot of people probably have. That's the part I haven't figured out yet. But the only way I see this working out for us at all is if we ignore her and let her reveal her own insanity. It's the only way we'll get support from anyone else around here. If we're lucky.
