Stefan and I were thinking of going away for a couple of days. I think I need to get my head together, and so does he. And I have a lot to make up for there.

And if Henrik is going to adjust to being told what we all are now, it'll probably help if I'm not around while I'm like this.

No, I'm sure it was out of kindness, the sheer goodness of his heart. Saving me from myself. Look, I get you don't like seeing us bicker and fight, Caroline, but you'll never understand this part of it. You can't because the daggers would kill you and even if they couldn't, you'd always be spared because you're you and he'd never so much as consider or even entertain the idea of knocking you out for five minutes, nevermind a hundred years. It's simply a level of betrayal you will never be able to truly understand.

A lot of things have changed since being here. Some things have been worked on, worked through, but this? I don't see it changing. He'll always be this way and at least my reactions will always be the same. But only to us. Because he thinks he's saving us or teaching us lessons. When really all it is, all it's ever been is a need to control us. I've learned and accepted that a long time ago, but it doesn't mean I have to take it without a fight. I have that right. He gets his hands on those bloody daggers, it's my life in his hands. If you think for a second I won't fight him on it, you're in for a huge disappointment.

	Not so much fixed. No. And maybe I won't ever know to the degree that you all do. But I know what it's like to have someone you love, someone who is your family, do terrible things to you I order to help you to save you. And sometimes talking does help. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Over and over again, a decade here, a quarter century there, whole chunks of a life I should've been living stolen because big brother's having an episide again. Why do you think I traveled so much?
