Two weeks. It's been two weeks and I don't know if I can do this. How do you ever be around people when the only thing you can think about is the blood in their veins, the only thing you hear is their heartbeat.

	You don't be around people for starters. I think I once told Mitchell it was like putting a cupcake in front of someone on Weight Watchers and telling them not to eat it. You can think of being in the same room with someone without imagining how to get a snack out of it. It takes time, Lauren. Patience. I don't know. Honestly. I guess at first I kind of felt responsible for you. Mitchell and all. I guess in my head, in order to make it not so weird that I'm dating a guy who killed a lot of people before he got here, I kind of felt like it was my responsibility to take care of you and help you.

He'll be the first to admit he's had set backs and screw ups. I don't fault him for it, I just get him on his feet and back on the right track. You didn't get to choose what you are, but you can choose how you live with it.

Oh, I doubt that. Well...maybe. Mitchell definitely. Possibly Hal. And Lee. Either way, no one gets to pick on them-or you-without dealing with tiny redhead rage.

	Well...it isn't easy. It's only happened once since he's been here and that...was mostly out of his control.
