I might have originally volunteered to go in for Bekah.

Elijah is going instead.

I just don't want your little brother to lose another one of you.

[Tahiri]
Hey. How are you and the babies doing?

And Jacen? I know he lost his sister.

Do you guys need anything?

Henrik has never lost a sibling. Nor do I intend to let that happen. And you don't know that I'd have forbidden you to stand for Rebekah. Or even that I could do that since I expect they already imagine I control you as I did them.

So, Elijah or Kol, which of my brothers has decided to be her hero.

It was because of me, because she saved me and yet no one even considered that I might wish to help her return

They do think that. I consider your protectiveness over my safety the one thing I allow you control over. You only started it after I died anyway so I understand your need to notlose me again.

Elijah is.

Well, selfishly I don't want you going because if you don't come back idk what I would do. But you're right we all should have talked about this one.

I have no wish to control you Caroline, I just want to see you safe too, does that make sense

Of course he is. Ever the hero.

He'll go and Rebekah will blame me for not offering. And once again I'll be the bastard brother who never loved her

It does to me. It might not to anyone else, but I think I do understand you.

I'll explain to her what happened. I'll let her know you'd have gone in. Or talk to Elijah. Explain that you want to be the one who is going to do it because she went in for you.

Perhaps better than I do myself.

No, Elijah cares for her, and as the oldest now he'll feel duty bound. I'll not insist it be me, they'd find that oh so controlling after all

No, I just see the parts of you that you don't quite see.

I didn't say insist. Talk to him. Explain why you want to go. He can say no and still be the one to do it, but then no one can say that you didn't offer the chance. That can't be used against you.

And if he does still insist then maybe do something with Henrik? Like a you and Henrik day.

I expect so.

I won't deny, he deserves a chance as much as any of us. I'll talk to him.

Right, because the last me and Henrik day went so swimmingly

Don't let your fear stop you from being around him, Klaus.
