You'd be in the dark. But you wouldn't realize at first that you were in the dark. You'd start suspecting it. Then you'd wonder why you feel like that, and if everyone around you knows something that you don't know. If they're keeping things from you. You start losing your trust in them, wondering if they did something to make you lose that memory. And things are never the same again, no matter how badly you might want them to be.
