When has you having a girlfriend ever been good news? It's one thing when it's me you decide you're in love with, I can handle you, but... You really are different.

I'm sure you've noticed the comic book characters and all running about by now? Well, here, in this world? We're fictional. There's a tv show and comics.

I actually know this one. Cogito ergo sum. I think, therefore even if nothing else is real, I'm real. We did it in philosophy. (Willow would be proud.) But you can be fictional if you want.

I'm not the only vampire you didn't dust, Buffy. You know as well as anyone, sometimes, exceptions happen. And yeah, I do have a soul but it's not like Angel's. It's not a curse. And I'm not gonna lose it in some moment of perfect happiness. Won mine fair and square in the Demon Trials. It's mine for keeps.

Used to be. Not now. And I'm not saying you have to rush off an ccept it because you weren't exactly at the point where I was more or less "one of" your little Scooby gang. But I was still working with you lot at that time. You still trusted me with Dawn. You've got some shred of proof that I'm not all evil. Is it so hard to believe that maybe that gets better with time?

Buffy, regardless of what happens, who either of us may be with at any given time, or what bloody universe we may be in at the time, there's always gonna be a part of me that's...that's yours, that cares what you think, that wants to find a way to at least have some semblance of a friendship with you. ~~I bloody fell in love with you~~ And I know...I know because I'm the one you went to, back home, when Red brought you back. You've gotta understand, we didn't know...we thought you were in Hell. But that's what I mean, you don't have to jump right back into the thick of it all here. You aren't The Chosen One here, we all are for some reason or another. You can take the time to figure out how to live again. Because you are. You're living. And you have to remember that.

No, I...I mean, we are real, back home, but here...it's not the same here. People can turn on the telly and catch us on it. Our lives. Our mistakes. Everything. People know things about us, Buffy, because they watched it happen on the telly.
