Filtered against evil and Dark
I’m not the only one who saw those freaking posters springing up in various parts of town, am I? Dark’s coming back and I figured it might be a good idea to share what I know about this stupid carnival. Some of you personally experienced everything or have read the book as well so please add in your two cents if you can. I think we all need as much of a heads up as we can get.
1. The carnival can appear as a regular old carnival to many. People can go on the rides and see the shows and not a damn thing will happen to them. Just because you’re there doesn’t mean you’re screwed. But really, why even go in the first place?
2. The rides can do a lot of things to you--age you up/down (I think that’s the carousel one), cause you to disappear into one of the cages, but basically they all can work to trap you in the damn place. Same for the funhouse and the mirror maze place.
3. If you have a big desire--money, women/men, for something to have not happened in your life that did and you’re holding an exuberant amount of guilt for--the carnival will work at the weakness and try to pull you the hell in by using it against you. Same with your fears.
Seriously, just don't go into the damn place.
4. There’s also a parade. I’m not entirely certain when it’ll happen as I think I remember it happening once or twice in the book--but that’s when the freaks in the carnival will come out and grab people back into it that have escaped. Try to remember that those that work there used to be just like us. Dark trapped them in that place.
Oh. Also. If your last name is Kent and you go anywhere near the damn place, be prepared to deal with my wrath for an undetermined amount of time. You’ll probably want to hide in the Fortress to escape it. Don’t go near it. Don't forget which of us is the stubbornest one here.
