I do not know what I am doing. At what point do I trip over a line I have no knowledge of, and
Intentions mean very little, and despite my best efforts, I

All of this is far beyond anything I am familiar with or accustomed to, and I do not want to do anything to jeopardize what I have been building here, but

Am I wrong, to feel that this action taken by Ares was not entirely out of line?

If I am honest, Loki...I'm sorry, brother, but yes, I believe you are. Regardless of what he intended to do, what he actually did was entirely out of line. In the midst of a massive crisis, one that is proving physically taxing on many of us, he robs us of our ability to re-hydrate. Not only is this essential for those fighting to defend us, it is essential to allow those kidnapped and tortured to recover.

Then, for seemingly no reason at all, he elects to change the liquid in question from blood, which is at least easily identifiable, to vodka. The change from an easily identifiable thick red liquid to something that presents as a clear and in some cases odorless liquid could have lead some, especially the children living at the complex, to think it was water. How much harm could have been done if a child drank even a few gulps of strong vodka? How much harm could have been done if those with young, still developing children mistakenly gave it to their toddlers or babies, believing it to be water?

To be clear, Barton and the traitorous who Romanoff absolutely did step out of line. Had Ares kept this warning of his targeted to them and them alone, then he would have been acting within his rights. What he did here was cause suffering for everyone, suffering that in some cases forced entirely uninvolved and innocent parties into fleeing into the masses of Autons while trying to find alternative places to get water or take shelter. This is after multiple people had already pointed out to him that his aim was in dire need of work.

Was what he intended wrong? No. Unfortunately what he intended is very different than what he actually did, and what he did was just as wrong, if not worse, than what Barton and Romanoff did to start all this. Had it continued any longer, I would have had to act, treaty or no.

I see.

Thank you for your explanation and your honesty.

I believe I will stay out of the matter from this point on. I have done enough damage
