Filtered against evil [Filtered to any demon experts] Uh, hi. My name is Flint; I'm an inventor. I've come to the conclusion that if there's one thing I can do that would be useful, it would be to help expand security. I've heard that the complex is the safest place in Lawrence, but I'm under the the passing, uh, impression that it's starting to fill up. So, I think it's imperative that we develop a more mobile security system or at least something that can be easily duplicated to other buildings to best safeguard residents similarly.
That said...I have a few questions, as I, uh, know nothing about demons that would be useful in this particular endeavor.
I'm looking, specifically, for the following information:
*How does one identify a demon? *What characteristics are specific to them when they are possessing a human being that can be used to tell them apart? Like...a blood sample; saliva? A retina or voice scan? Fingerprinting? *What repels, weakens, or kills them?
[Filtered to the complex's security maintenance team] Uh, hi. My name is Flint; I'm an inventor. I've come to the conclusion that if there's one thing I can do that would be useful, it would be to help expand security. I've heard that the complex is the safest place in Lawrence, but I'm under the the passing, uh, impression that it's starting to fill up. I'm looking to expand the security system that you already have in place to make it mobile or easily duplicated for other buildings in the area, including homes.
...but, uh, I don't know what all you're doing currently, so I have a few questions for anyone willing and able to answer them:
*What points of security do we currently have on this complex and how many of each? *What does the security system actually detect and how does it cover the area as fully as it does? *What is the power source you're using (batteries, straight electricity, wireless connectivity, etc)? *What kind of potential do you see for mobility of the system(s) you've developed? *Are there any concerns with the current system or kinks, uh, so to speak, in the system that would make my attempt more difficult?
[Filtered to the parent(s?) of the Russian girls] I've completed a prototype of the translator, but it's currently mainly running on the basic matrix I used for the Thought translators, so, uh, for now, I can't really guarantee it will function in full sentences, as there's no way for me to test that without just putting it into use. So, we'll call this one Version One and I can reformat the device and update the software as needed until I've gotten out all of the bugs, so to speak.
Brittany, you said there was two of the girls, right? I, uh, only made two for now, so... How does this look?
I've modeled it as a Bluetooth, so it not only looks like one but it functions similarly as well. It's pretty small and discreet, so it won't be terribly noticeable while they're using it. Basically, they'll hear English in their free ear, and Russian through the translator — I reconstructed my original design because I thought it might be more conducive for their education on the English language, rather than the original design having unintentionally promoted learned helplessness which would eventually make them dependent on the device and unable or unwilling to actually learn the new language. What do you think...?
