I'm gonna be back in Lawrence in a couple days. Won't be a terribly long visit, but I'll be around to take care of stuff where I'm most needed. Mostly making sure that Dean is all ri
That aside, I wanted to let you all know that Alastair is dead. He's no longer a threat, therefore you don't have to worry about him any longer. This may be old news to all of you, but I haven't been reading much along these boards lately so you'll have to forgive me for being repetitive if it was announced already.
Another thing...
Assuming Andrea wasn't the only one that was told about Ruby, I'm here to say a few things about that current situation. Yes, Ruby was working against us. Yes, I'm fully aware of the situation. No, she's not dead. Fact of the matter is, she crossed over to our side because she no longer wants to pull a Marcus Brutus. If she was still gunning for them, she wouldn't have told me what was happening so I'm inclined to believe that she's no longer out to harm anyone. Unfortunately, I understand how stubborn you all can be. Fuck, I'm stubborn too. And I'm not saying that this is a bad thing - I understand the anger, frustration, and betrayal that you might be feeling at this time. I mean...I was closest to her out of everyone. It sucks. It really is the most horrible thing that I've felt in my entire life, death included. And death? It's a bitch.
Still, she's not going to be killed off anytime soon. I know this is the part where you're all going to chime in with your protests, but that's my final decision on the matter. Ruby is my responsibility. I'm keeping her trapped up in a location that's nowhere near you all. She can't get out. She can't harm anyone. And I'm the only one who knows where she is. She's both magically, physically, and environmentally protected so I highly recommend that you don't go looking for her. It won't end well.
Why am I doing this? For several reasons. Most of which I'm sure you won't like. Firstly, she could still be useful. If she was in the know with the bad guys this entire time, there's no use in letting her go off until we're sure she's given us all the information that she has. Because, let's face it, we don't know anything at this point. The tables have been turned on us and we have no idea how to find Lilith and what to do about her now that we know she can't be killed after she hits that sixty-five mark on the seal status. Kill Lilith, the apocalypse starts. Clever, isn't it? So we find her either before she gets to that prior to last seal or we let her live on. Rather than killing her off, we'd have to protect her. We'd have to keep Lilith from dying so that Lucifer doesn't walk out of Hell and I, for one, don't want to see that happen. So having Ruby around, as our best means to figure out the seal count and where Lilith is, happens to be the best plan out there for me right now. You can dislike it all you want, but there it is.
Now my second reason for keeping her alive at this time is far more personal than the first. As I'm sure many of you are aware, Ruby and I have held a close relationship with each other for quite some time. I l I care about her. A lot. And I've tried to kill her. I really have. But I guess...I guess I can't. And I'm guessing I won't be able to sit by uselessly and watch anyone else take care of the job either.
I'm sorry. I know a lot of you aren't gonna be happy about this, but that's just the way that things are. Ruby is isolated. There's no getting to her, just as there's no way for her to get to anyone. She's mine to deal with and I will, as soon as I figure out how to do that. In the meantime, I hope that everyone here is doing well. I'm sorry that I didn't get in contact with you all sooner.
