Marian sat near the doors, choosing to stay inside rather than out. She really didn't want to risk going out just yet, not when she had no idea where she was. Looking around, she bit her lip before brushing down her white cotton clothing. It was perfect for the Holy Land heat, but here she was wondering just how she would get on. She would need more clothing, that was for sure. But without money to purchase such things how would she manage? She would have to find work, but she had never worked before in her life.

Sighing she stood, starting to get anxious and nervous. Biting her lip, she glanced at the doors. How would she even know when she arrived? The woman seemed nice enough, and she hoped that her trust in this woman wouldn't end up bad.

Andrea didn't think she'd ever been so excited before. Maybe not even over the arrival of Neville. While Neville Longbottom was one of her most favorite characters currently, and very likely for times to come, Maid Marian had reminded her of childhood favorites. The excitement had been a tingle that started up her fingers and shot through her arms, spreading throughout her entire body. It was still there and she tried not to hop as she walked towards her destination. To where Marian was.

Andrea forced herself to calm down, killing-or trying to-the wide grin that wanted to split her face. Breathe, relax, then go. Walking into the library, she scanned the crowd. It wasn't very difficult to find the woman whose clothing split out. She managed to notch her smile down to something much more welcoming, than fan-girl frightening. She was quite certain she succeeded, because the guy who'd been next to her near her little 'eep!' of excitement had stopped looking her strangely. Forcing herself relax, Andrea reminded herself how hard this would be for Marian. Of how much Lois and Clark hated it when people shoved what they knew about their lives into their faces. Thought of how much she would dislike it, and she walked towards the Lady. "Hello." She said, making herself known. "I'm Andrea. We spoke on the box, the computer." She explained.

Marian looked up as a woman approached, brushing back curls as she smiled a little nervously. She seemed nice enough, so she hoped this was the woman who said she would come and meet her. She wasn't exactly scared, she rarely got scared, but this place made her worry far too much. Plus, she didn't like being away from Robin and Nottingham. The people needed her and it was bad enough being in the Holy Land.

"Marian, though I already told you that," she said with a nervous smile. "Thank you for coming to get me."

Andrea had to mentally count backwards to keep herself from adding thousands of exclamation points after her, "You did." Quite pleased with herself when she succeeded. "It never hurts to be introductory." She said, giving Marian a crooked smile, before saying with a slight shrug. "It was no problem." Because saying, 'It's an honor' would be weird and likely highly off putting.

"You ready?" She asked. She didn't want to just start walking and she had noticed Marian's nervous smile. Andrea recalled just how wary she had been upon her own arrival. An arrival where she figured out in the same hour or so that Metropolis was fictional. All that, she doubted, even touched what Marian was going through. Missing a few years was one thing. Entire centuries? Barely anything could quite touch that. "Would you rather walk or .. uh, would you like me to get transportation? I imagine that you're very probably tired." She said. The only reason she offered to walk-even though it was a bit of a distance from the apartments-was the fact that cars ... She could imagine how intimidating cars would look. Never mind being in one.

She smiled and nodded, glad that Andrea did not seem annoyed that Marian had repeated her introduction. It was never wrong to do so, of course. Making sure she had introduced herself was vital when meeting someone for the first time.

"Yes, thank you. Although I'm not sure exactly what to be prepared for," she said with a nervous laugh. At the question on transportation, Marian bit her lip. On the one hand, she would like to experience everything if she had to be here. On the other hand, she was so unsure about everything. "Whichever you prefer."

Andrea gave her a smile and hesitated, trying to think of what to say. "Well ... the future's changed a lot. Obviously." She gave a slight chuckle. "Like anything. It has a lot of good things and a lot of bad. But the people where I'm taking you? At the apartments? They're mostly very friendly and helpful." Andrea wasn't going to lie. Azula was a queen bitch and Spike ... well, she didn't think he'd harass the newbie. But she could imagine that his entire demeanor would be off putting. And Lorne. Not that she could see how anyone would have a problem with Lorne. Except green people tended to freak out those not used to it. "I think the easiest thing I can tell you is to keep an open-mind and expect the unexpected." She looked apologetic. "The future is strange enough but I won't lie and say that's where it ends. The people at the apartments, .. well, we're stranger. You'll get used to it." Andrea said reassuringly. At least she hoped. She was betting on yes, from what she did know of Marian.

"Cab it is." She said. "We can start now. With the learning about the future. And if you need any help with anything. Feel free to ask me. Or anyone at the apartments." With that she pulled out her cellphone. "This is a cell phone. A phone is a form of communication. It's much quicker than a letter and at times more convenient than the box you were on. Which is called a computer. Are you with me so far?" She asked. "Anything you want to know. I'll try my best to answer it." It was probably a bit much to give her on her first day. However, she had said that she wanted to be prepared and Andrea knew if it'd been herself, she'd have been gaping at the cell phone after seeing it the first time.

Marian guessed as much already, but didn't feel like it was neccessary to point out that she did indeed realise that things had changed a lot. A glance around and she could tell that, and there was already a lot of things she wanted to quesion Andrea on but was unsure on how to do so.

"Stranger? How is that even possible when I see...boxes that can communicate with people and flameless lighting."

It was something else she had noticed, the lack of candles. She was rather intrigued as to what exactly was keeping the lights burning. She watched as Andrea brought out something, instantly frowning but listening. Another way to communicate that was faster than those boxes - or computers as Andrea had just called them. Strange, she didn't think there would be a faster wat to do so.

"Yes I'm fine so far. And thank you."
