Part of her was happy to be back and have a place of her own again. Sure..she wouldn't be really living here for a few weeks but with the amount of people coming in she didn't know if there would be a place available had she waited. Plus she didn't have to stay on Lois' sofa anymore. Staying longer than she thought she wanted to give her cousin her space back before she got kicked out on her behind. Chloe wouldn't put it past her. Their bloodline likes their privacy. Which was rare with Clark around, but somehow she managed it. Not speaking to Clark much lately she was starting to miss him. The days where she'd wake up and drive over to the Kent Farm every morning were gone. Their lives still going in different directions, even in a different world.
No matter what world they were in she would always love Clark. Not the kind of puppylove she had when she was 16. More like brother and sister, especially with the way they can behave around eachother. It was only legal paperwork that kept her from being a Kent. Probably the best since that might make things weird for Clark and Lois. That was crazy on it's own. When she took a walk in Lois' shoes, she had felt how Clark treated her. The whole Freaky Friday ordeal had given her more of her former dream life than she had expected. Being an ace reporter for the daily planet and having Clark Kent have feelings for her? She would've died for that in high school. Being Lois Lane showed Chloe that the life really wasn't for her. Not that she wanted Clark..those feelings were long gone. It creeped her out a little at first, the way he had looked at her. She swore she felt Clark checking her...well..Lois' body out a time or two. Never did she think it would go any further than that. Now they're actually dating. They saw what was in front of them. She was happy for them. They deserve happiness, and anyone that can put up with Lois' special personality is a keeper. Chloe couldn't think of anyone better for Lois, or for Clark.
But it was still weird.
Looking up from the edge of the bed she was sitting on, the blonde smiled at the intruder that appeared out of thin air. "Hey Clark."
