While getting to Chloe was no problem for Clark Kent, even with her being several states away, he found that he preferred this much more. Traveling straight after work wasn't something that he particularly wanted to do right now. No, kicking back, relaxing, and enjoying the rest of his day was written clear across his agenda. Surely he'd end up scouring the streets at one point or another to make sure nothing crazy was going on, but until then he was going to enjoy his free time with a very good friend of his. Large arms gripping at the watermelon he'd specifically chosen to bring back with him, Clark bolted through Chloe's apartment door and fell to a clean halt a few paces away from the bed in which Chloe was sprawled across.
"I brought us a snack." He lifted the weightless melon just slightly, indicating as to what he was talking about in a more specific manner. "What have you been doing?" He hoped she had a good knife to slice the melon open. He had once tried to get the job done with a butterknife before - now that had been messy. Fortunately with his strength he managed, but it still wasn't anything that he'd want to do ever again.
