WHO: Clark and Helena
WHAT: Superman and H.G. Wells fly into a coffee shop together and together they figure out how to reverse the polarity of the neutron flow while simultaneously rescuing all of the puppies in the universe. They got skills like that, yo.
WHEN: Today!
WHERE: Copenhagen.
RATING: Probably nothing too high.
As promised, Clark had cleared his schedule for coffee and conversation with Helena. It was a much needed break, really, given that he and Lois had recently taken on a new story. He was dedicated to the cause, particularly since there were people going missing, but working with Lois was a constant, never-ending process when it came to investigative journalism. The second a story fell into her lap, Lois refused to let it go until she uncovered every detail possible and got to the bottom of whatever it was she was looking for. Her determination was useful when they were working together (so long as she wasn't getting herself into trouble, that was), but sometimes it was enough to drain even the Man of Steel. And that? It was impressive.
Thankfully, Clark had already planned on a caffeine boost. Helena had wanted to talk and Clark, in turn, wanted to listen. With an empty schedule on his hands for the next couple hours, Clark met up with Helena at her place and from there he flew them out to Copenhagen. Rather than dropping right into the café Clark had decided to take Helena to, he landed off in an alley about a block off from the building. An alley wasn't the most fun place to drop into, but unless they wanted people to see them drop out of the sky - literally! - then a side alley was the most ideal spot for them to touch ground.
As soon as he was sure that Helena was well on her feet again, Clark stepped back and smiled. "Welcome to Copenhagen. Location of really, really good coffee, food, and...well. It's Copenhagen." He paused. "Except for this part. This is an alley in Copenhagen." Clark smiled again. "We're headed over to Café Paluden. Have you ever been?" Clark remembered Helena saying that she'd been to the city before, but he had no idea if she'd yet to discover the café that was tucked away among a labyrinth of book shelves and paintings.
