What:Too many feels!
When:Tonight
Where:The forest near the tree house.
Warnings: TBA.

The sun was setting over the city and Much hadn't checked his phone, he didn't check the internet, he couldn't do much other than sit at the edge of Kansas River and watch his reflection ripple in the water. The other versions of his friends were too much to handle. He'd lost them all on the same day. He'd had Robin, but Robin barely spoke to him. He was concerned with Marian, so that left Much to take care of him. He didn't mind it really, enjoyed it most of the time, but this time it was different. Everything was happening so fast he could hardly keep up. And then he lost Robin. Robin went after Gisborne and he lost him. He'd told him he wouldn't stay behind, but he hadn't been able to keep up. He knew Robin cared about him, but sometimes he wondered about their friendship. Was it friendship or was he still partially in service? Robin hadn't told him to go back inside, he'd ordered it. Much had turned down his order, but it felt like a slap in the face at the time.

Then there was Lydia. She had left a note he could barely read and left to find the vampires. Had she even intended to return? He knew she was good with a crossbow, she'd said so a few times. Going in like that made him think otherwise. She'd gone alone and those vampires were old ones. Alex said so. A ghost told him so.

Vampires, demons, ghosts, Lucifer.

Kill a vampire with a stake or anger it with holy water. Hunters kill-not kill demons with Latin, Ghosts didn't like something too, but he couldn't remember what that was. It was too much to remember. The fact he remembered that much was damn near a miracle on it's own. His head felt like it was about to explode and throbbed at him painfully to prove it. He had a bruise on the side of his face from having hit a wall during the vampire fight with Alex and Robin that he was nursing every now and then by touching cool river water to it. Why was it the only thing that made sense in that moment was the forest? He hated the forest. He hated Kansas. He wanted to go home.

Even knowing their fate he wanted to go home. He picked up a rock and threw it into the water, watching it skip and disrupt his reflection. He hadn't really thought too far ahead about staying over night, he hadn't brought anything with him. But it also wasn't his first day in the forest, he had a knife he'd be fine. He would be fine.

He was fine. He kept saying that mantra despite his new foresty home. Nobody had to worry about him. It was his job to worry about and watch over them, but he couldn't even do that right.

She wasn't honestly sure what had brought her out here, she'd decided a run would do her no harm and now that she could actually walk in the sun she had been all over that. Actually getting to see sunsets, getting to feel the warm breeze on her skin again, it meant a lot to Lexi. And the forest was beautiful. Oh there were better forests in other parts of the world but this one was here. And walking through it was a wonderful reminder of the world she had been set apart from in many ways.

And as it turned out she hadn't been the only one to appreciate the forest. She watched a rock skim across the water and glanced over to see Much. The man from the middle ages was just sitting skimming rocks and looking more than a little despondant.

"Hey" she ventured simply, picking up a rock of her own and skimming it across the water. "I figure you'd find forests a bit more peaceful than most of us. I mostly just wanted a walk. But look, if I'm disturbing you I can keep on going?"

When the second rock hit the water that wasn't his, Much looked over at the blond girl who'd suddenly been there beside him. Had she been there very long? He didn't even know anymore. He'd been so wrapped up in his thoughts that he hadn't noticed her approach. He was upset. He knew how Robin got when he was hurting, but it didn't make the words he'd said sting any less.

He was supposed to keep an eye on Robin, he took so much looking after sometimes. But this time it was too much for even him, and that had never happened before. That was why he hated Kansas so very much at that moment that he felt the need to leave it behind him for a while. He recognized Lexi's face but he didn't really know her all that well. "You're the girl from the internet." He said quietly, not really a question but more of an observation.

At least the weather was warming up, he didn't have to worry about a sudden down fall of snow or anything. In the back of his mind he wondered how hot it got in Kansas and frowned at the idea of anything hotter than it was already as he threw another rock. This time however it didn't skip at all. It just sank.

"No. You're not." He smirked at her statement about the forest. "I think you're mistaking me for my master. I used to hate the forest." He admitted with a shake of his head at the mere idea.

He wouldn't have noticed her approach. Lexi had moved faster than he could have noticed given he wasn't paying a hell of a lot of attention anyway. He seemed upset more than anything and she didn't know why or what exactly she could do to fix it. 'The girl from the Internet', that's how he rememebred her. She'd take it. Maybe the fact he recognised her meant she could talk to him, figure out what was so wrong to make him look that upset surrounded by the beauty of the woods.

"Lexi. Is my name." she started, skimming another rock. "And you're Much. Now that that's out of the way maybe you can tell me what's got you so upset. Cause sitting in a place like this with the look you have in your face, you're not in a good place, are you? You weren't when we talked before either, so maybe you wanna talk to someone away from the whole thing?"

Lexi perched herself on a rock near the lake edge and looked up at the man, curious more than anything and god help her sometimes she couldn't resist helpful meddling.

"And if you hate the forest, have you considered Glamping? I think you would rock Glamping?"

"I barely know you." He gave her a semi curious ook. "How can I tell you my problem?" His trust had been lost on that entire experience. People who were his friends no longer recognizing him, and people who did finding others to confide in or no one at all rather than him. Everyone had some one. He felt as though he was the unlucky one who did not. He didn't want to voice it or make anyone feel badly over something that wasn't their fault. The rational bit of him knew it wasn't, the irrational one was worried.

"Why do you care what my face looks like? We just met." There weren't many strangers who woud want to help just because. When he was from it was even more rare. "I'm fine anyway." He said forcing himself to smile. That's what he did. He was the one who was supposed to be fine and take care of everyone. He didn't want to lose his job. It gave him a sense of purpose in a world where he wasn't sure what his place was.

Robin tried to tell him how good he'd done, but how could he have really done any good when he couldn't even keep up with the one person he was supposed to stay with no matter what? Nevermind he'd lost Lydia too. Robin was supposed to be the on eperson who never left. He'd promised him that when they were kids, and nly in this place had that changed even once.

"What is..Glamping?" The word sounded strange on his tongue. Glamping sounded ridiculous, whatever it was.

Lexi was used to distrust of course. But she was ready to help if it came to it. She was probably some would say too nosy for her own good, always wanting to help where she could. Be involved. Help people, save people. If they were upset, if they were hurt. Lexi was always ready to do what she could to help people.

"Just meeting means nothing. You look like you could do with someone to talk to and I happen to be here. I also happen to be a good listener. So how about we just sit here and chat. You can talk about whatever the hell you want. If its something you want help with maybe I can give you some Lexi brand advice." Because he wasn't fine, he wasn't even close to fine.

She could start with explaining the wonders of glamping.

"Its camping with all the comforts of the modern age, so you have a proper bed, you have wifi, tv maybe, You have proper ways to cook. Its so people can say they're being all rugged and country when really if they actually saw anything remotely naturey they'd cry."

People were so helpful sometimes it was a litte overwhelming. He knew the general theory, all stuck in the same place needing the same things so they helped. But it was no less crazy at times just how much they did. If this were home, chances were he'd either be ignored or pushed aside. Not necessarily by Robin, but by other civilians even. Nobody was that helpful unless they wanted something. He looked her over a little suspiciously, but it didn't last long. He just didn't have the energy for it.

"Lexi advice..you do this often?" It sounded like she did, but maybe he misunderstood. That wasn't anything unusual. He ran a frustrated hand through his hair and frowned at the river as though it were to blame. "The complex got crowded." He admitted. Claustrophobic wasn't a word he knew, but it woud describe how he felt to a tee. "I could not breathe there." It wasn't like the forest was much better, but at least it was open. No walls closing in.

"Oh. I might like that. There were some good things about the forest, but it is not meant to be lived in.." He trailed off and made a face. Picking up a near by stone he threw it at the surface of the water and watched as it skipped. " Real camping. I don't know if I'll ever really go actual camping again if I have a choice in the matter now." He shrugged. "I've become fond of showers and indoor plumbing. " I only he could ever take that knowledge back home, life in the forest might not have been so awful at times.

Oh she knew that feeling. It usually came with great amounts of stress, and the poor guy seemed to be feeling that in spades. He had looked unhappy, worried, and yeah, stressed as all hell when she'd found him, so maybe there really was more to it than he was letting on. He couldn't breathe where he was but he could here, so that was a start. That was something she could point to as a beginning.

"Often enough, and I'm told its usually good advice. So how about you talk to me, tell me what's bothering you, tell me why you wound up out here and why inside was closing in on you and maybe I can help?"

Liked the outdoors but not camping. Well that she could more than understand, camping as a general rule sucked. "Oh you're right, its smelly and cold and animals stare at you." Okay they usually stared at her cause she gave off a whole heap of 'scary predator' vibes to them, but what could she do. "Indoors is infinitely better, but sometimes getting away from it all is the best possible thing to do."

It wasn't that he didn't like talking, it was actually quite the opposite. Usually it was difficult to shut him up, but lately words had been difficult to come by. It felt like everything was piling up ontop of him and when he lost Robin it all came sliding down. He knew when Robin didn't want to be found that it was impossible to do so, but he still felt responsible. Robin was his person. The one person he was supposed to keep up with, keep track of at all times. His most important and he couldn't do that.

Robin was the sort who would never admit to needing anyone, but needed everyone. He needed to be loved, and Much felt he'd betrayed that by letting him go. Well, letting being the understatement of the year. He'd tried to keep up but he was unsuccessful, and that hurt worse. He'd always been able to keep up with him. When they were kids even. It was part of their friendship he cherished, always being by his side. Marian couldn't keep up like he could, and he knew it.

"I had one job, and I could not do it." He explained simply enough. Which for him was a feat in it's own. Usually his answers were quite a bit more long winded. "I am supposed to stay with Robin, but I couldn't keep up and he got hurt." He frowned a moment. "Not physically. Not much more than usual anyway." He admitted. Trying to keep Robin from being physically hurt was like trying to stop the sun from rising. That much he'd accepted, it was the part where he couldn't fix the hurt that he couldn't accept.

"Animals don't stare long." He mused slightly. "Or they would be dinner." Much said with a shrug. "But the weather, the general unable to go to town often for a drink.." He trailed off distractedly as he fiddled with a thin, flat rock near by. "Yeah. It all just..it's too much." He admitted sheepishly.
