It was strange, being the only person from home who didn't have all of their memories. Or at least who didn't know everything. Emma and Henry didn't have the memories, they weren't from Fairytaleland, but they still knew more than Ruby did. The dreams had been getting more frequent in regards to the ones which held the memories, but she knew that she was still missing a lot. With all the drama of Regina and Gold's showing up within a week of one another, as well as Graham and August, Ruby was just throwing herself into her work. There had been teasing Enjolras about his Belle, who seemed to be getting adopted by the Storybrooke crowd just by proxy, And Percy, he was always entertaining to talk to when he came in for the classes to adjust to the time period.Oh Granny would call it flirting, and maybe it was, but she always enjoyed hearing about different places, of adventures that she never got back in Storybrooke. Things in Lawrence were definitely more chaotic but Ruby did still enjoy hearing about people's adventures.
But tonight, tonight it was catching up with Mary Margaret. No. Snow. That was going to take some getting used to. Because for all she could remember, her friend was a school teacher, not Snow White, yet there it was. Ruby had come to terms with being Red Ridinghood, and even the wolf. Mostly. But having to rethink how she addressed the brunette she'd be meeting with? Definitely going to take time, though Ruby wouldn't change it for anything. She was making friends, sure, but she missed people from home. Between Mary Margaret and Graham, she at least felt a bit more at peace. August had been all new and exciting, just like Emma though she adored the blond. And of course Henry. But people her own age were nice as well.
Having clocked out, Ruby bade goodbye to those in the Inn before heading to the Roadhouse. It helped given the fact that food and drink were free for the displaced. Now she just had to wait. She didn't really know where the conversation would go but Mary Margaret seemed overwhelmed and the brunette didn't blame her. She had all of her memories and the arrivals as of late couldn't be easy. In that regard, Ruby knew she was lucky. She mostly just knew Regina and Gold as she did back in Storybrooke. They held the power there but honestly, they never really interacted much with her or Granny. Gold came to collect the rent but beyond that? There was the general dislike but nothing personal like there was for everyone else. Which was why she was staying out of it if she could. Okay. So she had offered the Inn to Belle for her and Gold if she chose, but she also couldn't just turn people away and at least Ruby knew the Inn was a good place. She was sure Epiphany's complex and Watchtower were fine as well, but she knew the Inn.
For now, Ruby would just get some water and wait to see where the night went. It was still early, after all.
