Gaia is the domina of the House of Lust ([info]allidesire) wrote in [info]wariscoming,

Who: Livia and Gaia
What: Livia is being a nefarious Roman and Gaia's getting drugs again.
When: After this
Where: Gaia's house
Warnings: Withdrawal symptoms, drugs, possible girl flirting, everything else TBA?

Having the Hercules card as her ace in the hole had saved her trying to get Livia to help her. Of course, she would've played that one right away, but given her current state, it was allowed that her mind wasn't exactly working like it normally did. Where she was usually cunning and quick to the attack, currently she was too bombarded by the withdrawal symptoms to think coherently for long periods of time. The symptoms were only getting worse. The tremors had set in, as well as the sharp and intense body pains. She tended to stay in bed or on the couch most of the time, but once Livia had told her she was coming over that evening, she would get out of bed.

Before Galen had left for his training session with Mara, Gaia had given him a list of things to pick up on his way back from that. While they were things she needed, she also ensured it would occupy him for a couple hours trying to find them in the event his training session ended earlier than was usual. Once Galen was gone, Gaia got out of bed, carefully making her way out to her bath house where she went about preparing the baths. The tremors complicated her getting the baths ready, but she'd given herself enough time to finish the task before Livia would arrive. Once that was done, Gaia ensured there was wine and various fruit on hand in the bath house to suit Livia's liking.

Heading back inside the house, Gaia went up to a mirror and nearly screamed at her reflection. She looked like Hell, to put it lightly. So she decided to change this fact. Making her way back to her room, she sat down and went about putting on some make-up. She didn't overdo it, she didn't like wearing too much make-up where it was obvious, but she put on enough to take the edge off of her otherwise haggard and pale expression and once again enhanced her beauty. She decided against putting a wig on, so she merely brushed through her hair, then pulled it back into a simply yet still elegant ponytail. She then changed her into a dress that was a rich red in color and trimmed in gold. It was far more suitable to her hosting a guest, and she was always the one who hated appearing less than put together in front of others. It irked her to appear as such in front of Galen, but she couldn't do anything about that. She was coming back to the living room to wait for Livia to arrive when she doubled over as pain wracked her again. Clenching her teeth, Gaia leaned against the wall, wrapping her arms around herself. Gods she wanted this pain to end soon. She couldn't take it much more.

Livia meanwhile looked flawless. She knew she did. Dressed in a combination of clothing that could pass as modern but still showed her as a woman of import, in the red shades she always so favoured back home and her eyes darkened, not quite in the Egyptian style but enough to highlight them. She looked strong.Every inch the perfect warrior Ares had made her. And she was proud to be that. It was why Gaia and her weak mind bothered Livia. She was nothing and would do nothing for Rome. Is this what poisoned Rome, people like her? Still, the woman was loyal, and true and willing to do anything for Rome.

And as far as she was concerned, Livia was Rome.

One of Gaia's people had let her inside with little question, knowing her reasonably well by now and directed her to the living room where she found her, doubled up and broken inside. She would have rolled her eyes but there was little point when she was right there with Gaia. And she'd brought opium. Ares had provided when Livia had told him what she'd get out of it. It was enough, more than enough.

"Oh Gaia." she said, moving into the woman's line of vision. "This isn't right at all now is it? It won't do to have you hurting so. You are a Roman and I would have you stand as one. If it takes Opium then Rome provides. But look at you, you're tired, you're ill. I trust you have the baths prepared?"

This whole being locked within her body was definitely not something she liked. Gaia hated this wholly and completely, and she hated even more that Livia was going to see her this way. But what could she do? It wasn't as though she could help herself right now. Had she still been in ancient Rome, she never would have gotten to this point. She would still be standing tall and strong. Gaia was not a wilting flower by any stretch of the imagination. She was fiery and she was strong and she was a proud Roman citizen.

But right now, she showed nothing but weakness and had no way to cover it. She couldn't deal with the opium withdrawal side effects. Not when they were so potent and painful and intrusive upon her life. The tremors and body pains were the worst part.

When Livia arrived and entered her line of sight, Gaia drew in a deep breath and forced herself to stand up straight. She was Roman, and she had pride to uphold as much as she could right now. Gaia met Livia's gaze, her dark eyes still holding her inner fire, though they also carried traces of the pain and exhaustion within them.

"The baths are ready to receive us," she replied with a nod. "My gratitude to you, Livia. Please, enjoy my hospitality." Despite the pain, Gaia was more than determined to keep her head held high. But before she led the way out to the baths, she of course could not help but give Livia the once over, a smile managing to curve her lips. "Your beauty outshines that of Venus herself." And with that, she turned and led the way out to the bath house.

She was acting as Livia would expect of a Roman woman, proud and defiant. And definitely playing the flattery card. "I like to think I do, yes. But then I'm not here to be flattered am I? I'm here to help you. I did bring a vial of opium. My Lord Ares provides when I ask him. I believe you might have thought of that before letting the Celt get his claws in you. Because really my dear what did it gain you, you look gaunt, haggard. You can do so much better than this."

Livia followed the woman out toward the baths, stripping as she got there and stepping into the water without a care for who might see her. Why would she, she was surrounded by servants and a woman who thought her more beautiful than Venus. The drug the other lady wanted hung in a little vial around Livia's neck. Becoming visible only as she stepped into the baths. Gaia could not have imagined it would be easy, could she? She wasn't just going to hand Gaia the means to her own end.

Livia needed none of it, opiates were for the weak. They made you weak. She even took care with wine or anything that altered the mind. She was better than any of it.

"If you're joining me you might as well work the tension from my back." she told the other lady. "Unless you have someone more skilled than yourself of course." Livia wanted to see just how much Gaia needed the vial around her neck. Putting her that close to what she wanted most but having to wait for her to ask for, or be given it was entertainment Livia couldn't have made up.

Even in her current state, Gaia still had her pride. After all, she hadn't gone through her life just to lose all sense of it because of her current state of physical illness. No, she clung to pride tightly, and that was undoubtedly the only reason she'd put forth effort into appearing not as haggard as she actually. She couldn't cover up every trace of it, but she did have a more presentable appearance currently. Make up was a wonderful thing.

"Had Ares been here when I had made my inquiries, that thought would have occurred to me than to let some simple barbarian to have power over me. Though I cannot help but say I rather enjoyed repaying his kindness. Pity that death did not stick to the other woman that looks like me and her bitch of a guard dog." There was a bit of a smirk for a few moments. She had rather enjoyed playing that part. And she couldn't really say anything bad about Moriarty per say as he had given her this house in the first place. And now she'd managed to keep hold of it, so she wasn't about to complain.

Once in the bath house, Gaia slipped free of her dress, taking a few moments to take a deep breath and steady herself. The tremors in her hands were getting worse, but she tried to ignore them as best as she could. It was when Livia stepped into the bath that Gaia noticed the vial around her neck. And it was so obviously the vial of opium. She had momentary tunnel vision on it before she tore her gaze away from it as Livia spoke.

And oh she realized the game Livia was playing. How could she not? Gaia spent her life playing games with people, dangling what they wanted right in front of them. Still, she was not going to go right in for the opium. Not yet anyway.

"As it stands, I am rather good with my hands." Another little smile and Gaia slid into the water, also not caring who saw her naked. Gaia was proud of her body, of her looks, and she wasn't the type to hide them. She didn't exactly care of Livia would take notice in such a way, Gaia was confident within herself. Moving behind Livia, she moved the woman's hair aside, and then began working the tension out of Livia's back. The tremors were present, but as long as she could focus her hands on doing something, they seemed to be a bit better.

Livia was a cruel woman. She couldn't deny it and likely could never have fought against it. She had Xena's rage and Callisto's insanity flowing through her, though she didn't know the depth of all of that yet. She was a contradiction in so many ways and she had given herself body and soul to Ares. And the God of War had shaped her into his Champion, though some would call her his toy. He had made her exactly how he wanted her. A strong warrior woman of Rome would would do his bidding always. And yes, Ares had used what was already there and made her cruel. And made her love the power that came with who she was.

"You enjoyed it then, the lies, the trickery. Because it got you what you wanted ultimately and less because of what you did. And you wanted her to die because she had your face and she was wearing it with more dignity. Did you enjoy being her?"

The woman's hands found her back not long after she stepped into the baths. Good girl. Oh she'd have noticed the vial, and Livia's cruelty was having her hands so close to the object of her true desire. Working at the tension in the other Roman's shoulders, brushing against the chain holding the vial, time and time again until Livia said otherwise. And Gaia should know better than to cross her. Better than to try and assume the vial would be handed over so easily.

Besides which, this was nice. This was relaxing. Gaia was good at this and it had been a long time since Livia had let anyone this close. Oh she still had the power, but nonetheless.

Gaia had her own cruelty. That was when she wasn't ill and in withdrawal. She was no warrior, her wars were waged on a completely mental level. One might think she'd learned her cunning ways from having been a Senator's wife, but the fact of the matter was that she'd held them from long before she'd ever met her late husband. Gaia had learned young that playing games and playing into what others wanted would get you further than if you simply went charging ahead and being brash on attaining what you wanted. The Roman woman's mind was one filled with completely and unadulterated cunning, and she really didn't care who she had to manipulate to get the most favorable outcome for herself.

"I did it because I enjoyed the lying, the trickery. It is far too easy to make someone believe something when you become what it is they want to see." There was a bit of a faint smirk on Gaia's lips. "The wishing of death upon her came from the fact she seems to be one of those people who does good for the sake of trying to make themselves appear to be better than they actually are. For the portion where I convinced that guard dog I was her friend and seeing the look on her face, that was enjoyable."

Perhaps Gaia shouldn't have given as much away about how she operated, but at least with that bit of information, Livia would understand how she was going to keep Hercules distracted. And really, it wasn't hard to keep a man distracted. The Roman had managed to hook Hercules again after having broken his trust in order to carry out what Moriarty wanted of her.

And the upper class Roman well knew not to cross Livia. Gaia liked living without pain, and she knew Livia held the leverage right now. So Gaia would be complacent even though her craving for the drug currently hanging from a chain around the other Roman's neck was taking her strongly. Even as her hands worked the tension out, her dark eyes kept drifting the chain, desire for the opium getting stronger with each passing moment. But she had to control herself, and she would. Gaia just simply hoped she didn't have another seizure during this, especially in the bath. Drowning was certainly not on the list of things she wanted to do.

[OOC: And repost because I somehow let a Romana instead of Roman slip in once. DAMN IT BRIEGE.]

"Nothing wrong with that." said Livia simply as she relaxed into the other woman's touch. She really was good at what she did, even in spite of the overwhelming need for the drug she kept around her neck. She enjoyed the lies and trickery then she would know that Livia was testing her. Waiting to see just where her loyalty was. It was fine that she'd done what she had, that she'd enjoyed it But the Celt had held a remarkable level of power over a Roman and that would not stand. But she was more than happy to hold power over Gaia herself. It was her place to do things like that. Commander of the Legions and Champion of Ares. It was fitting for her.

"And you'll do that to our demigod friend won't you?" she said, turning slightly toward Gaia, her expression utterly focused, like a spider catching flies in its web. Not for the act but more for what she was intending to do with them later.

She'd probably teased her enough for now. Fun as it was, if she wanted this woman to do whatever she was asked in the name of Ares then there was only so much she could play with her, and she really had unlocked a lot of the tension that Livia had built up. "Tell me how you prepare it? I don't touch anything like that." she said, unhooking it from her neck and holding the object of so much desire for the woman in her hands. "Do I give it to one of your servants or do you just...drink it?" she asked curiously. Turning toward Gaia then, Livia reached out to pull a few strands of hair from around her face. "You do understand why I had to wait, don't you? I had to be sure you were loyal to Rome. To me, but you are aren't you? You know that man could never have been to you what Rome is to you. And here, in this miserable place. I am Rome. Do you understand Gaia? I need you to understand. Because if I'm going to keep bringing you more of this, you and me are going to have an understanding. Over this, over Hercules, and over the other...the one from the stars."

Gaia had thought Livia would see things that way. After all, anything to hold power over someone else, the ultimate art of deceit. Being at the mercy of a Celt was something that certainly had irked Gaia on a personal level being a Roman, but she knew how to assimilate herself to increase her chances of survival and further her status. Well, her deal with Moriarty hadn't furthered her status, but it had ensured that he wouldn't kill her. And really, she'd all ready shown herself to be quite the little chameleon. Galen Marek was wrapped around her little finger, and Gaia counted on hi to protect her. Hercules was a slight challenge after she'd drugged him in order to get out, but it was easy enough to hook him again, and she all ready had that going.

At the question of Hercules, Gaia looked at Livia, a smirk on her lips and a devious glint in her eyes. "I will surpass that in regards to him." At the root of it, Hercules was still a man, demigod or not. She knew she was attractive, and Hercules did enjoy it when they had talks where she exercised her intelligence. Well placed phrases, glances, brief touches went a very long way.

As Livia finally offered up the opium, a deep desire and hunger crossed her eyes. Really, it had been a miracle that she'd kept herself that composed, but she had to prove she could control herself. Romans did not give way to desperation, that is what the barbarians did when the legions came for them. Desperation was truly a despicable thing. "I typically add some to wine." Waving one of her hands, one of the servants went and poured her a glass of wine and brought it over to Gaia, who took the glass, though she still waited for Livia to actually hand her the opium. "Yes, I understand. You have my loyalty, Livia. You and Rome." She looked the Roman warrior in the eye as she spoke the words. She was a proud Roman, and she was not afraid to show it. And she well knew they were to have an understanding here. No one ever got anything for free, even the nobles. So coming to an understanding of terms of this arrangement was expected.

"Yes you will. You have to." she told the other woman, watching her as the glass of wine was brought to her. She was waiting. Good. Not trying to grab the drug from her or anything so foolish. No, she'd decided to wait and see Livia's mercy. And the Roman knew mercy when she needed it much as admittedly she found it pointless and boring and generally found genocide a lot more productive as uses of her time went. Before handing over the drug she leaned in grabbing the womans chin not too softly and repeating the phrase she'd used just then. "I have your loyalty. Me and Rome." Livia tightened her grip and yet the kiss when it followed was soft and almost yielding before the Roman pulled away and added some of the drug to the woman's wine.

She'd have given her enough to think about while the drug hit Gaia's system and so she leaned back, dark eyes almost dancing in amusement. It would likely have been unexpected. Likely have thrown her, because Livia had only been known to Gaia as the Champion of Ares. But her Lord understood. She'd had to lie with Augustus in order to further her own ambitions and more than that besides. Gaia was useful to her and with the promise of drugs and the pleasure Livia could give if Gaia returned or furthered the initial contact then Livia would have her, body and heart combined. Did she love her, no. Care for her, only marginally, would she fuck her to control her. Of course she would.

"Tell me how you feel Gaia?" she asked once the woman had taken some of her wine. "Tell me what it does to you. I want you to be descriptive." Now it was Livia's turn to set her hands to work at Gaia's shoulders but of course with a lot more seduction to the act than the drug starved Gaia had shown. Hot breath would be felt as she spoke, leaning into Gaia's neck.

"I want to know why this thing, this simple thing has such a powerful hold on you."

As much as Gaia was wishing to just grab for the opium, she knew better. She wasn't one to test Livia, but it was also the way Gaia operated. She knew Livia wanted her to know who held the power, so she merely played the subservient role. It was easier for the both of them. Even if Gaia just wanted to take what she wanted, she was in absolutely no condition to get into a physical altercation. Not that she'd be in such a position even if she wasn't in withdrawal currently, but that was beside the point. However, what Gaia hadn't expected was when Livia took her chin and then followed up the action and words with a kiss. It caught Gaia off-guard. After all, she was always able to tell what gender someone preferred, and from everything she'd read about Livia up to now, she'd never once seen anything that suggested the Roman commander was attracted to women. Gaia blinked a bit, feeling the contrast in the kiss to the hold on her chin. Which was quite odd and definitely gave Gaia something to think about.

Once Livia pulled away after adding some opium to her wine, Gaia swirled the contents to mix them a bit before she took a long drink. Closing her eyes, Gaia waited for the effect of the opium to take over. She longed to be rid of the pain she felt, and this would do the trick nicely. Though her mind was also swirling with thoughts of the kiss Livia had given her. Was it part of a power play? Was Livia using it to keep Gaia where she wanted her? These were the first things she wondered because it was exactly what Gaia did to others. Sex was a powerful motivator. After all, it was how she had Galen where he was currently, and it was how she would get Hercules where she wanted him. At the end of the day, men were always predictable when presented with a pretty woman who expressed interest in them. But women were far harder to read, which is what was confusing Gaia the most right now because she'd never quite met a woman like Livia. But she wasn't stupid, she wasn't going to try and take Livia on. No, she would have nothing to gain from such a stance. So instead, she would be whatever Livia wanted her to be.

Though of course as soon as she felt Livia's hands on her shoulders, felt the seduction within her touch, Gaia couldn't help but comply. After all, Gaia was a pleasure junkie. She would take pleasure anywhere she could get it. Feeling that hot breath made Gaia shiver lightly, but she relaxed into Livia's touch, back arching a bit and her shoulders releasing some tension. Of course, the opium helped, but it was mostly Livia's touch.

"It gives me a rush of pleasure that can rival the pleasure attained from an orgasm. For a time, I can feel every part of myself and I can feel as though I can accomplish anything." Her lips curved into a smile laced with a hint of lust. "I enjoy the rush, the altered state of mind it puts me into. If it is paired with the rush of sex, the results are far more potent. There is no other feeling like it that I have found in this life. Simply put, I feel as though I have entered a realm forbidden to mortals and am able to partake of the fruits within it."

Leaning into the other Roman's touch with a soft groan, Gaia lifted her free hand, brushing her lithe fingers over one of Livia's hands. "Pleasure is all forms has a powerful hold on me because life is meant to be enjoyed. And I firmly intend to enjoy it."

Oh it was a power play. Of course it was. Livia needed Gaia loyal. And she didn't find herself attracted to women as she was to men but she was no fool, and she knew the power sex had. And Gaia was already floating away on her opium. It was her best opportunity. Now she was still Livia. Everything she did was a headey mix of pleasure and pain, and so her grip on the other woman tightened as her hand linked up with Gaia's.

"Does it? Show me? Show me exactly what it does to you because all I see is a Roman Lady doing whatever she must. Paying whatever price because this thing has a hold on her. Tell me how that is worthy of you when the only thing that should have a hold on you is Rome."

At that, the grip on Gaia's fingers intertwined in her own tightened.

"I need to know you are loyal to us and not to this...thing that controls you. I need to know you believe still in Rome and all it stands for. That you believe in me. Gaia. I Am Rome. At home I was to take Augustus' place, lead the Empire. I was Rome's Champion, her voice in the darkest of places and here I will need you as the only other Roman to stand with me. To show these people what true power is. There has been nothing like it since and you know that to be true. I've looked, all their little Empires, Britannia, this America. It's never been what Rome was and so we remain, don't you see. I can be cruel but I can be oh so good to you. Because you're like me aren't you. You understand how the game is played. And because of that Gaia. I'm going to need you."
