Gaia had thought Livia would see things that way. After all, anything to hold power over someone else, the ultimate art of deceit. Being at the mercy of a Celt was something that certainly had irked Gaia on a personal level being a Roman, but she knew how to assimilate herself to increase her chances of survival and further her status. Well, her deal with Moriarty hadn't furthered her status, but it had ensured that he wouldn't kill her. And really, she'd all ready shown herself to be quite the little chameleon. Galen Marek was wrapped around her little finger, and Gaia counted on hi to protect her. Hercules was a slight challenge after she'd drugged him in order to get out, but it was easy enough to hook him again, and she all ready had that going.
At the question of Hercules, Gaia looked at Livia, a smirk on her lips and a devious glint in her eyes. "I will surpass that in regards to him." At the root of it, Hercules was still a man, demigod or not. She knew she was attractive, and Hercules did enjoy it when they had talks where she exercised her intelligence. Well placed phrases, glances, brief touches went a very long way.
As Livia finally offered up the opium, a deep desire and hunger crossed her eyes. Really, it had been a miracle that she'd kept herself that composed, but she had to prove she could control herself. Romans did not give way to desperation, that is what the barbarians did when the legions came for them. Desperation was truly a despicable thing. "I typically add some to wine." Waving one of her hands, one of the servants went and poured her a glass of wine and brought it over to Gaia, who took the glass, though she still waited for Livia to actually hand her the opium. "Yes, I understand. You have my loyalty, Livia. You and Rome." She looked the Roman warrior in the eye as she spoke the words. She was a proud Roman, and she was not afraid to show it. And she well knew they were to have an understanding here. No one ever got anything for free, even the nobles. So coming to an understanding of terms of this arrangement was expected.
