Poison Ivy thinks Jason Todd is a filthy hypocrite ([info]iampoison) wrote in [info]wariscoming,

Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Entry tags:dick grayson/nightwing, jason todd/red hood, poison ivy, the joker

Who: The Joker and Poison Ivy and then the calvary in the form of Dick and Jason. Open to Harley if she so desires to investigate Red being stupid as well.
What: Ivy's had enough of the Joker's shenanigans and is going to take matters into her own hands and then calls for backup.
Where: Warehouse the Joker is hiding out in
When: Midday, 7 February 2012
Rating: There's going to be pain and torture most likely, and death it seems. So... yes.

While the birds all had different ways of wanting to deal with the Joker, Ivy knew that he had to be killed. Oh sure, there were the innocent people involved in this, but truly? She was doing this for the children who had been affected by the Joker Venom, and more importantly, for Harley. She knew the woman was struggling to hold on, to keep from going to him, but the longer he was allowed to parade around the city as though he owned it, the more chance of Harley cracking and going to him. She already had said she'd do it to protect Ivy herself or anyone else she cared about and Ivy couldn't let that happen. Besides. He had told Harley she would die and that just was not okay in Ivy's book. No one threatened the blond. She knew that the birds had reason to be worried about her but the second they did something to hurt Harley, all bets were off in regards to Ivy's 'rehabilitation' into becoming one of the 'good' guys.

While everyone else was struggling to know how to find him, him and Moriarty, Ivy was going about this her own way. The plants. They told her what she needed to know. Oh sure, she could use this to help with Moriarty she supposed, but she really had no interest in the crazy Irish man. He hadn't threatened children or Harley or the plants so he didn't really register to her. If anyone asked, she would just say it was happenstance that she found the Joker. Just because she was trying to be one of the good guys didn't mean that she was completely reformed. She was merely serving her own interests in keeping Harley away from the psychotic clown. Maybe a day would come when she willingly wanted to help other people beyond the one woman who mattered to her or the children who had done nothing to deserve the pain inflicted on them, but that wasn't today.

Coming across a series of abandoned warehouses, Ivy rolled her eyes. Of course. He would need somewhere to make his venom. But Ivy was prepared. For one thing, she wasn't affected by it. And she had managed to use her 'skills' to take stock of every chemical within the greater Kansas area on what was taken, add that in with the information Harley had given her on how the stuff was made, Ivy had come up with a variety of antidotes for all the possible combinations. One vial of each with the instructions on how to make them for Connor should she not make it out of this alive or a mass attack took place.

"Now what did I say about messing with or threatening Harley, hmm?"

The question was asked as Ivy stepped into the warehouse the Joker was in. She had plants on her side from the near by area and she had weapons. This ended today.

Joker laughed as two of his flunkies were killed and leapt down off of his throne. "Oh Ivy Ivy Ivy Ivy. Of course I knew you'd come flying after me the moment I told her I'd rip her heart out with my bare hands and shove it down your throat to choke on." He grinned. "And there's a small thing called freedom of speech. I can say whatever I damn well please."

He grinned, keeping a wary eye on Ivy. Oh he new her plants were no doubt lurking nearby. But he was prepared. Motioning the remaining two men away, he kept his eyes on Ivy. "So, have you come to kill me then?" he grinned.

Suddenly, armored plates slammed down on every entrance, locking Ivy inside the warehouse. "So green thumb, ready to try to kill me then?" he laughed.

"Are you really so idiotic to think I came here for a chat?"

Even though most would should be afraid when the armored plates slammed down on every entrance, in effect trapping her, Ivy wasn't. Because she was going to kill the Joker, or die trying. Rolling her eyes, Ivy remained where she was, watching as the remaining two flunkies were sent away. No matter, the second they were outside, her plants took care of them.

"Oh yes, freedom of speech. Still, threats don't do you any good, sweetie. You still get in trouble for them."

Stepping forward, Ivy just smirked dangerously. Even with the odds not in her favor, Ivy wasn't backing down from this fight. She couldn't. Pride for one thing, she would never let the Joker beat her. But given Harley's safety and mental stability, or what was left of it, lay with this bastard dying, well, there was no way Ivy was giving up. Besides, men always thought they were stronger than women. Manipulated and abused them, tore them down. And it would feel so good to tear the Joker down from his self delusion of grandeur.

"Oh honey, what do you think? Of course I'm ready to kill you."

The Joker smirked some, keeping his eyes on the green woman. She was going to be dangerous and hard to take down. But he was prepared for it. Backing to the dais, Joker pulled out a small sapling. He tore it from it's root holder then pulled a knife out. Grinning, he sliced the sapling with his knife, hoping it would piss off Ivy. When a person was angry they were more likely to make mistakes. And even if this didn't work, this particular warehouse was set up as one giant trap.

"So Ivy, how are you going to kill me?" he asked, grinning sadistically as he kept slicing the plant to ribbons. Oh yes, Ivy was going to pay dearly from keeping Harley from him. "Oh, and what are you going to do with all my hidden Joker Toxin spread throughout the city that will blow unless I enter the correct keycode?" His eyes glinted dangerously. "Oh, and all that toxin is deadly. My most potent batch."

Did the Joker really have a death wish? Of course she knew what he was doing. He thrived on chaos and mistakes made in the heat of the moment. Was it working? A bit. Still, she was more focused on destroying him and keeping him from releasing the toxins on the city. She really didn't care about most of the people but that didn't mean she wanted the Joker to release it. Between the children and the general wanting to beat him thing, she was determined to end this. Or find a way to end this.

Still, while she was prideful, she also knew that doing this alone might not be her best idea. As such, she pulled out her phone and sent a text to both Dick and Jason. Okay, she should have done that before, but now she had more information to give them? Yeah. That was it. Between the three of them, Joker would die. She didn't know who would be the one to do it, but he would die.

"Of course it is." This was something she had to tread carefully with. She had to keep him from unleashing the toxins until someone who could figure out the code could type it in to keep it from happening. The next trick was making sure Dick and Jason could get in. The doors were sealed but that didn't mean much. He was human after all. A pathetic excuse for a human but a human all the same, he still had to breathe. Which meant that there would still be air ducts open. Dick and Jason trained with Batman, they'd be fine. Look at her, all team player like. Yeah. That was it.

Joker had seen the phone and smirked. Only the bird boys could get in but even that would take a while. He had time to get rid of Ivy slowly. Or so the thought went. The crazy clown reached down and pulled a shot gun out, holding it loosely. "So sweet Ivy, shall we dance together then?" He laughed and slightly creepy carnival music started up, making the PA system whine with the effort of playing it.

Without another word he leveled the shotgun at her and fired. He didn't care if he missed or not. This was just to get her in place for the main trap. Or she was going to suffer greatly for making Harley betray him.

He kept blasting at her, switching to some pistols and kept firing, only just missing.

It wasn't as if Ivy had made a point of hiding the phone. That would be silly. Let him waste all of his ammunition on her, it would make it that much easier for the birds to kill him. It was unwise to underestimate the Joker, anyone from Gotham would know that. She didn't even respond to the carnival music that began to play. It was oddly fitting, the whole clown thing he had going on. But no matter, there were more important things going on. Like avoiding being shot. Whether it was on purpose or not that he missed, she didn't care. She avoided the shooting

Of course, to avoid being shot, one had to move away from the bullets and it appeared as though he had a plan laid out for her. Leading the lamb to slaughter and all that by shooting at her to get her where he wanted. No matter, she had a gun as well and if she could get a shot it, great. If not, at least she'd distract him. As such, the green skinned woman pulled out her own gun and started shooting back at the Joker.

"Why Joker, I never knew you cared."

The comment was said sarcastically as the two continued their bullet ballet. She didn't even flinch as one of his bullets hit her shoulder. It wasn't a fatal shot, she'd be fine. The question was how long it would take the birds to show up and then figure a way in. Which meant she needed to stay alive and conscious to ensure he remained there while they worked on showing up. After all, it would do no good for him to get loose and release the toxins.

Therefore, the new plan was distract and if he got killed in the process, oh well. One thing was certain, Ivy was allowing herself to adapt, that said something about personal growth and all that, right?

Joker felt a bullet graze his left arm from Ivy's gun but he didn't flinch. He grinned and kept driving Ivy back, not caring if she got hit or not. And soon she was in position. Without a word, a hidden henchman cut a rope and a massive heavy curtain plunged down on Ivy with a loud screech. Behind her was a partially lit corridor through a doorway. Joker kept shooting at her, missing her by inches.

Oh it was clear he was trying to drive her back into the hall. But what only he knew was that the hall was only a well painted mock up. The door was actually to a clear heavy bullet proof glass cage. One way or another Ivy was going in it. If she ran in there herself, a door would slam down behind her. If she was hit by the curtain, his men in hazmat suits would swarm her and throw her in.

Joker wasn't letting Ivy off with a quick death. She was going to suffer. Badly.

Okay, maybe on second thought, she should have tried the team player thing before she showed up. But it wasn't like she knew for certain he'd be there. She was just going off what the plants told her and it was better to act swiftly before he had a chance to unleash more toxins into the air. The question was, how to keep that from happening once they killed him. Because oh he was going to die.

Hearing the loud screech, Ivy looked up and cursed, ducking and rolling in the only direction she had to go, which was the dimly lit corridor. No matter, she would make this work. So long as she kept him busy. Stupid jerk having men in hazmat suits. Most likely for his toxins as he couldn't have known she was actually coming that day but still, it made things all the more difficult to fight them off. No matter. First things first, rolling into the corridor.

Only for the door to slam shut behind her.

"Dammit."

The word was muttered softly in annoyance as she looked around. Okay. No need to panic. She was Poison Ivy, she didn't panic. Was she annoyed? Oh yes, most definitely because she couldn't see what the Joker was up to now, but that was irrelevant. She was just going to have to hope that he would make this fight personal so that he didn't use this time to do something that would hurt innocent children. Or worse, Harley. No matter.

Going to the door, she called out to him.

"A corridor, really?" While sassing was more of a Joker thing and Ivy preferred to just get things done, she figured if she angered him enough, sassed him enough, he would make it personal if it weren't already.

Joker laughed at Ivy's question and peeked through the clear plastic door. "Oh dear Ivy, this isn't a corridor. It's a trap I made up just for you," he cooed. He hit the wall next to the door and the fake sides collapsed. He smirked. "No way out little girl." He grinned and motioned his men away. He circled the clear cage. "I hope you're ready for an electrifying stay as my guest."

He knelt down swiftly and pressed his buzzered hand on the metal floor sticking out and shocking Ivy just enough to incapicitate her. Once he was certain she was mostly out, he ventured in and dragged her to a larger clear cage and strapped her to the table with the help of his cohorts.

Without a word, he grabbed a bucket of water and dumped it on Ivy. Then, just for fun, he picked up some dangerous pesticides and began pouring some on Ivy in various spots to see what would happen to her.

Wary, wary was a good thing to be when it came to dealing with the Joker. Especially when he made comments about 'electrifying' stays. The Joker loved his puns and they were always a precursor to something that was about to happen. And just as she thought, precursor to being shocked. While she didn't let out an audible reaction to the shocking though she did end up collapsing from it. Oh, it wasn't enough to kill her or anything like that, but it was certainly enough to make it so she couldn't fight back when the Joker came in and started to drag her along the floor into the clear cage.

Groaning weakly, Ivy started to come to as she had water dumped on her. This? This was not okay in her book. She did not like being strapped to a table and unable to do anything. It reminded her of being experimented on by Woodrue. Eyes narrowing, she struggled against the binds that kept her in position only to feel the pesticides on her skin.

Gasping in shock, Ivy tried to arch as the pain began to course through her body at the different contact points, but she was unable to from the binds that kept her in place. She wanted to rip his head off now. As some pesticide hit above her heart, she hissed in pain, struggling to get away. While usually she preferred the fact that she was more plant than human, this was one time where that wasn't the case. If she got out of this, she was definitely getting rid of more pesticide plants. That was all there was to it. She had heard the screams of the plants as they were attacked, but now she knew the agonizing pain they suffered even more so.

"Well that's perked you back up." He lightly traced her face with his purple gloved hand, a cold grin on his face. He set the bottle of pesticides aside for now and picked up one of his knives. Knives were glorious. The let you see the true heart of a person. Even before you cut it out. Add in the fact he had designed some knives to hold various liquids and such? Oh this was going to be fun.

"You're going to pay for keeping Harley from me you bitch," he snarled. He lightly traced the dagger over her legs, just enough to leave a very shallow cut. "She wanted to be mine and she was mine until you corrupted her against me," he continued, moving on to her other leg and repeating the shallow cut. He was just getting started and hoped Ivy lasted for a long time. He loved hearing the screams and begging for mercy.

Fun for the Joker, perhaps. Fun for Ivy? Definitely not. And it wasn't like she could tell the birds to hurry up or anything as she couldn't exactly move or reach her phone. Well, they had the message and would come. If anything, Jason would. He had a personal grudge to settle with the Joker and well, Dick was Batman's little protege. They knew the risks. And hopefully someone would be able to figure out the code for the Joker Venom. Harley most likely did but she didn't know where she was. Had she seen the note? Okay, maybe she should have slid the note under the door to Sam and Ruby's room to keep Harley from getting a reckless idea. Dammit, she better not show up...

But then she was being cut on just enough for the wounds to sting and oh did they sting. Beyond her breathing hitching though, she gave no sign of pain and instead set a glare on Joker, spitting in his face.

"If by corrupt you mean I made her realize she deserves better than a psychotic bastard like you, yes, I did. And I'll do it again. I'm keeping her safe which is more than I can say you ever did."

Yes, she was playing into his hand, talking when she shouldn't. But she was beyond angry with him and she refused to let him think he could get away with being an abusive bastard just because he was psychotic. It was sickening.

Joker's eyes narrowed dangeorusly. "I made her who she is. She is mine." Why did Ivy care so much about Harley? There was no rhyme or reason to it. But he would find out the truth. Picking up one of his special daggers, he dipped it into the pesticide and moved back over to Ivy, smirking. "You're going to tell me everything I want to know little Ivy."

Slowly he began carving crude jokes on Ivy's midsections, a cold smirk on his face. He would make her give up Harley. One way or another she would realize that Harley was his and no one else's.

Done with the jokes, he took the dagger and walked over to Ivy's left hand before slamming the dagger as hard as he could into it. "Why do you give a damn about Harley anyways?"

"No one has the right to lay claim to another person." The words were spoken defiantly as the Joker glared at her. She'd already gone through this with him but it seemed he needed a reminder of that. Watching as he dipped a dagger into the pesticide, Ivy kept a wary gaze on the psycho, rolling her eyes at his comment on her telling him everything he wanted to know, "In your pathetic dreams."

And then there was more pain. Not just shallow cuts this time, but cuts that also put the pesticide into her blood stream. Sometimes the pain got to be too much, her vision blurring and going white at times. She couldn't focus on just what he was carving into her, couldn't make sense of the different designs to form the letters. She just knew she hurt. As if that would break her? Did he think her that weak? Of course he did. He was a typical male, disgusting.

Of course, then there was a dagger in her hand and the red headed woman cried out in shock and her body arched against her bindings.

"B...Because...unlike you...I a...actually care...."

Not an actual answer but no matter. She was currently in a lot of pain.

The Clown Prince of Crime narrowed his eyes dangerously. "You care?" he taunted. "What? About that broken doctor whore? You care about that weak woman?" He chuckled some. "What, not a fan of the male of the species?" He twisted the dagger violently before wrenching it out as painfully as he could. He pressed the bloodied blade against her skin and smirked darkly. "I could change your mind if you'd like. After all, Harley simply loved our time together."

He chuckled darkly and moved over to the table. "I know you talk to plants but you never really experience the pain they do." Picking up an iron bar, he moved over to a bucket of coals and stabbed it in. "I do hope you last til the chainsaw. Or weedwhacker." Grinning, he moved back over to Ivy and adjusted his handbuzzer. Then he slammed it on her chest.

Nothing but the cold sadism shone in his eyes.

Crying out in pain again as the dagger was twisted and removed, Ivy gasped for breath. She heard his words and they made her skin crawl. His words made her feel physically ill. If that bastard so much as touched her...

"B...Because I l...love her...which is m..more than you ever did...."

The words were hissed out and really, it was only because she was in so much pain that she wasn't filtering herself. She didn't care if the Clown bastard knew because he wasn't going to be able to use it against her. Especially if he made good on his insinuation about 'changing her mind'. That would be a death sentence for him, really. So he had better hope he didn't do that.

She didn't really register the words about chainsaws or weed whackers, but at least it sounded as though he had a long drawn out plan for her. C'mon, birds. Aren't you supposed to be fast. The thoughts were annoyed but she knew that it wasn't like she knew what part of town they were at. But she was in pain and angry and wanted to strangle the bastard but she couldn't. Of course then she had a lovely jolt of electricity straight to her chest so she wasn't really thinking of ways to dismember the Joker. Instead she shrieked as her body jolted from the volts of electricity coursing throughout her body.

Joker laughed as Ivy jolted from his hand buzzer. Oh this was indeed glorious. And fun. But he had heard the words that Ivy loved Harley. That...hadn't been exactly what he had expected. But still, he could use it to his advantage if used right. He pulled the hand buzzer away and wandered over to the table, pulling his jacket off.

"I wonder if I should tell Harley you love her. Or if I should let you hope and pray you make it out of this alive so you can see for yourself how...flexible and wild she is. She was such a good squeeze too. Quite a set of lungs too. Oh how we enjoyed making happy together," he taunted.

He picked up the hot poker and looked at the red hot end and smirked. "You may feel a slight burning sensation." With that he laid it on Ivy's other hand that he hadn't slammed the dagger into and let it set there. "Oh I just love the smell of burning plants, don't you?" he laughed, pressing the poker in a little deeper.

She'd worked it out. Thing about Harley Quinn no one figured often. She wasn't stupid and she knew how to find Red easy. Also she was pretty sure the plants helped her out, Pointing her this way and that. No one listened when she said she knew Red better than most, but those plants did. She wished she could talk back to them sometimes, but instead she made do with a whispered thank you and she was there. Good and quick because she figured Ivy'd need her, and maybe, just maybe she'd be brave enough. She had to be brave enough. She had no choice. Because everyone was right. He had to die and Harley knew she should be the one to do it. She had to be.

She had a gun too, cause Ruby and Sam's house was made of guns more or less. She could do it too, she could take the shot. Maybe a few weeks back, no. But the threat about Red had done more to open her eyes than she figured anything else could have. She held it tight as she got closer, dressed not in her usual gear, not made up. But just in black, blonde hair tied back messily. She was here to save her friend.

She'd gotten in easy enough, most of the place was blocked off but she was just as nimble as the Joker had been talking about to Ivy. Only she hadn't heard that bit. What she had heard shocked her nearly into calling out to her friend... friend who apparently loved her kinda friend. Loved her. Like...loved loved. She must have, she must have enough to have come here, to be letting him hurt her like that, she was wilting like plants wilted and it was her fault. "You ain't gotta tell Harley nothin Mister J." she said simply from her vantage point on one of the production rails. "You gotta drop that poker, and you gotta let Red go, or I swear to god I'll end you right here, right now, and don't you for a second think I'm gonna miss"

The gun was aimed right at the clowns head. And Harley was terrified. For herself, for Ivy for actually maybe having to kill the man she'd once loved.

"Tell me you're okay Red, I gotta hear it."

As to the response to her confession, that could come later. That wasn't for him to hear.

The Red Hood didn't hesitate a single second when he got the message from Poison Ivy. It was, of course, fortunate that the ex-Robin had been obsessively hunting the twisted clown down over the past couple weeks, ever since he'd been able to muster up the strength to crawl out of his hospital bed and plant his feet back on the streets again. How could he have not? The Joker was the one who had started it all. He was the one who had ripped everything away from him ; he'd taken his life, his career, his family. Not just the woman he'd blackmailed into betraying him, but the man that Jason Todd had looked up to. Bruce had meant something to him before. Before.

Jaw set hard beneath the red mask on his head, Jason veered his motorcycle to the right and kicked down hard on the brakes. The bike skidded around a corner, speed slowing massively in comparison to the ninety-five miles per hour he'd been riding out before. As quietly as the Red Hood could manage, he braked the motorcycle, slid it back along the side of the old warehouse Ivy had directed him to, and cut the engine.

Everything went quiet.

The front entrance was too open. Jason would've never just walked right in. He eyed the top half of the warehouse, searching for a more subtle entrance. The windows were acceptable - or they would have been, if they weren't bolted shut. Frowning beneath his mask, the Red Hood stuck to the shadows, circling the building a few times over before he decided that he'd have to go through the ventilation shafts if he wanted to get anywhere without being shot on sight. Jason knew how the Joker operated. He wouldn't be caught dead without an arsenal of weapons on hand, nor would he hesitate to pull the trigger if he noticed one of the Bat's old allies slinking into his hideout.

Jason had to play this smart. With a bit of skilled footwork, he found his way up to one of the older looking vents and managed to pry it from the wall without making too much noise. Within a few long minutes, Jason successfully found himself worming his way through the small, tight maze of vents that ran throughout the building, eventually coming up somewhere along the outer edge of the production rails.

Silently, he edged his way out, booted feet carefully slipping into darkness.

There were voices bouncing around up ahead. One of the voices, a bit more high-pitched than the others, was easy to recognize. Harley Quinn. Of course, Jason thought darkly, I knew she'd go running back. Tiger can't change it's str -"

" - or I swear to god I'll end you right here, right now, and don't you for a second think I'm gonna miss."

Jason cocked his head to the side, inching forward just enough to notice that he wasn't the only person who had decided to take the top entrance in. Harley was standing just a few feet in front of him, back turned, eyes unmistakably focused on the Joker down below. Beyond the Joker, Jason noticed, was one Poison Ivy.

He did his best to avoid making jokes about how she looked a little on the green side, mostly because he was grateful that she'd pointed him here in the first place. Harley, however...

She had surprised him. Jason had come all this way, chanting over and over in his head that this kill was HIS. It belonged to him. No one else. But now that he saw Harley Quinn standing there, declaring that she was gonna gun the Joker down for what she'd done to Ivy, Jason couldn't help but wonder if she'd actually follow through. If what they said was true, if she really was just another victim of his, then maybe she deserved to dish out her own little helping of revenge. Maybe.

"He's not going to let her go," Jason said, voice slipping out from the dark just behind Harley's left shoulder, "take the shot. Kill him. He'll kill her if you don't."

Dear god, the pain. He was right, she spoke to the plants but she had never once truly felt the pain they went through until now. The pesticides, the burning. It was taking all of her will power not to scream, all of her stubborn will not to break. She heard the taunting words and wanted to wipe that smug grin off the bastard's face but she couldn't. She was stuck where she was and the burning sensation in her none stabbed hand was overriding most of her feelings at the moment.

But then she heard Harley's voice and she was convinced her heart stopped. Because Harley couldn't know. Because that would change everything and Ivy was used to how they were, used to their dynamic. A change in that could be disastrous. Yes, it could be good, but mostly, it could be disastrous. Ivy didn't want to be hurt again by someone she loved. It was easier if Harley didn't know but now she knew. Because she told the Joker that he didn't need to tell her anything. This might be more torturous than the physical pain because the emotional and mental worry was maddening.

Hearing the comment on Harley asking if she was all right, Ivy tried to laugh but it came out as a gasp from the pain.

"F...fine...."

And another voice. Jason. So it seemed the calvary was finally arriving. The fact that he was telling Harley to kill the Joker was shocking. She was certain he'd want the kill for himself. Unless he was testing her. Seeing if she meant it, seeing if she had truly changed. But it even the single worded answer she had given to the blond about being fine had been draining. But she worried. She worried that something would happen. Would Harley go back to him despite her claims that she would kill the Joker? Would the Joker pretend to do as he was told to get her to lower her guard? There were too many variables. That was one of the reasons she hadn't told the blond what she was doing in the first place. Because the Joker might manipulate her and all the work they'd done, all the late nights of telling her she deserved better, that he was a horrible person, all of that would be gone.

But the burning poker in her hand was making it impossible to concentrate and despite all of her self control, she whimpered in pain, closing her eyes tightly.

The Joker looked up and arched a brow. Harley was there in all black, hair in a messy ponytail or something and aiming a gun at him. Not only that, she was ordering he let Ivy go. And then there was Boom Boom Birdy. He smirked darkly and just pressed the red hot poker deeper into Ivy's hand before forcefully dragging it across her body and tossing it to the side.

He held his hands up and spread his arms. "Take the shot Harley. I dare you. Boom Boom Birdy's right. You were perfect before this green skinned witch corrupted you. Yes, I was cruel to you at times, but that was only to make you try harder, to be my perfect partner. And oh, you were beautiful kiddo. Just put the gun down...we'll talk."

His eyes suddenly grew cold and he moved to Ivy's head and pulled a dagger out, pressing it against her green skin to draw blood...or chlorophyll or whatever the hell was in Ivy's veins but not enough to kill her. Yet.

"Drop the gun or the last thing Ivy will see will be her blood or whatever spraying up at you." If he had had more time, he would have gotten a bucket of pesticides to shove down her throat. "What'll it be Harley? Come back to me and Ivy lives, take a shot at me and I see if I can kill her before you hit me. And then there's all my fun deadly Joker Toxin to find throughout the city."

Jason was right, There was no two ways about it Crazy Bird had a point and she was the only one who could do this now. There were people that could heal Red if it came to it. Jedi People or that angel chick who looked like Ruby. Which was hilarious. But she could heal her. Or her plants could heal her. Red was tougher than Mister J thought. But to get to that point she'd have to take a gun, the gun she was holding and shoot him dead. Shoot him and kill him and he wouldn't be there anymore. Ivy had told her countless times that he'd obviously done something to her, messed her mind up so much that she didn't love him, not really. She was tied to him. And if that was true then that was what she had to break for the first time. For Ivy that loved her, that had admitted as much. But shooting him.

Aw Man Crazy Bird would be so smug.

But Iv would be safe and wasn't that the point. The toxin didn't bother her so much, they'd work it out. They always did work it out. Ivy'd fix it, she'd help, she knew how to help and maybe he was even bluffing. And what people forgot was that she was a damn good aim when she had to be. So she ignored Jason. Even ignored Ivy and focused on the voice of the man she had loved for so very long.

"...I was beautiful" she said, hand shaking on the gun knowing what he would do, knowing he'd hesitate just long enough. "I wanna talk Puddin, you know I do...They kept me away from you, y'know" she said, tapping her foot twice as she walked down a step or two hoping Crazy Bird took the hint. She just needed to distract Mister J long enough, Just long enough. "They said you didn't love me but that ain't true is it, you do. You love me and all I need to do is..."

From her new vantage point she took the shot. Three in fact in quick succession before sprinting down the stairs three at a time without waiting to see the outcome but ready to aim again if needed. "...All I need to do is break free." she said softly almost at a whimper running to reach Red and unable to keep the tears from her eyes. What had she done??
