The woman drummed her fingers against the desk and frowned. She had expected Sherlock to turn up - Moriarty without Sherlock was a world without sense - but she hadn't expected the lack of recognition. Having read through the message board thoroughly, she did understand that people from any world and any time could be pulled through the mysterious "seal", but it hadn't occurred to her that he would arrive from before their meeting.

She still hadn't decided whether she was happy about the situation or not. As she had said to Moriarty - Jim, she reminded herself, if he was going to call her Irene she was determined to call him Jim - she had a chance to start over. But it smarted that he didn't know what he'd done to her, how thoroughly he'd crushed her. Still though. No doubt she'd soon do something to put herself in his path, and this time she wouldn't make the same mistakes. Although she did hope for a chance to smack those glorious cheekbones again. Hard enough to bruise.

An email told her Jim had replied to her latest message, and she smiled as she read the contents. Excellent. Funds were on the way, and the sooner all the equipment needed was acquired, the sooner this place could be left behind.

She sent a quick note to Lexi and headed down to the lobby to meet "T*Rock", who turned out to be a scared looking, rather respectable young man with a delightful envelope of notes for her. A brief period of teasing and the hand over was done with, and she headed back to her room to change for the shopping trip. She'd bought a few passable items of clothing in Walmart with her gift card - they really were well prepared for new arrivals, and she had to admit that their generosity was surprising - so she pulled on tight black leggings, a soft black polo neck and knee high black boots. Hair in a severe top knot, make up muted but perfect, she checked the boards one last time then headed back downstairs to meet Lexi.

Lexi needed the break. She needed to get the hell away from her computer and Katherine Pierce and infuriating Salvatore's. And shopping with the modern version of 'The Woman'. Well there were worse ways to spend a day, she thought, entirely pleased with the concept. Lexi would never not be a fan of two things, shopping, and drinking. And the drinking was apparently to come at some point with of all people Wolverine. This place was amazing. She'd never leave it, if they'd just bring Lee here to her she'd stay quite willingly. She kept wishing it, with a pang each and every time when she woke and checked the comms and there was no Lee confusedly trying to work out what had happened her.

But there was also no sense in wallowing in it. He'd hate her to do that to herself. So shopping it was, she dressed in a pair of tight black jeans and ankle boots coupled with a dark blue top bearing a glittery symbol of some kind. And of course the Daylight Ring she'd wished for, really the only reason she was able to go on this shopping trip at all. It had been oh so worth it. She tied her hair into a long plait and grabbed her waist length jacket and before declaring herself ready...and late. Of course. With a burst of speed Lexi left her room and made it down to the lobby within a few seconds of closing her own door. It wasn't showing off if it was an attempt to be on time, she decided to justify it, slowing down as she reached the area and spotted Irene Adler. And yes she looked pretty much as Lexi had imagined, refined, elegant and beautiful. It reminded the vampire of the old days.

"Irene?" she asked, approaching her now at a slower pace. "It's Lexi"

It proved to be an interesting kind of shopping trip and it would serve to take Lexi's mind off a lot of things that had been getting to her of late. It had been a long couple months in Lawrence. "I've got a couple of shops lined up for us to try, bit pricy but you said you had that covered?" she added, the last comment more of a question than anything else. Lexi sure as hell hadn't had money when she got here and she still didn't have much. But she didn't need much.
